Battlestate Reveals Tarkov and Arena Plans For The Rest of 2024

As a seasoned gamer with years of battling through the gritty landscapes of Tarkov, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and anticipation as Battlestate Games unveils their update plan for the remainder of 2024. The return of crunchy snow in the winter season is not just a weather change, but a reminder that survival in Tarkov remains a chilling challenge.

Battlestate Games has revealed a preliminary roadmap for the rest of 2024 encompassing Escape from Tarkov and EFT: Arena, with updates extending up to version 0.16.0.0. This timeline anticipates the arrival of the winter season, implying that the crisp, frosty snow will likely return again.

As a dedicated gamer, I’m excited to delve into what lies ahead for both my favorite classic extract-and-shoot game and the latest multiplayer arena shooter. While specific release dates remain under wraps, the upcoming patches promise some minor and major tweaks that will keep us gamers on our toes!

Patches Everywhere

The image shared by Battlestate Games on social media provides a glimpse into the upcoming changes for Escape from Tarkov and EFT Arena over the coming months.

As an enthusiast, I’m excited to share that the journey begins with version 0.2.2.0 for Tarkov Arena, introducing a fresh game mode, location, and numerous technical tweaks. Following close behind, we’ll experience the seamless integration of EFT’s 0.15 patch and EFT: Arena. This exciting update will synchronize harmoniously with the Unity 2022 update for Escape from Tarkov.

In 0.15.5.0, Escape From Tarkov will get a stack of changes and upgrades:

  • Stash and Hideout ‘interaction’ while matching
  • Lock items in stash
  • Expansions to ‘new mechanics’
  • Fall weather
  • New weapons
  • In-game events

In the upcoming updates between versions 0.2.4.0 and 0.2.5.0, Arena will introduce Molotov Cocktail projectiles as throwables, establish a battle pass system, implement a ranked season system, and add a new location to the gameplay.

At the close of this year, the new patch for Escape from Tarkov, version 0.16.0.0, will be rolled out, introducing ‘top-tier content’ along with novel firearms, and a wintery climate.

According to the latest updates, it appears that the next Tarkov wipe is set for release alongside version 0.16.0.0 in December 2024. The team at Battlestate Games has had a challenging time recently due to some contentious adjustments and an influx of cheaters – they might need to make some significant changes soon, so hopefully these major updates will help improve the game experience.
