A sneak peek at an upcoming advertisement for the Meta Quest series has popped up online, revealing the Meta Quest 3S. This device is set to be officially introduced soon. The new VR headset by Meta aims to make virtual reality more accessible by serving as a budget-friendly introduction to the VR world. Its specifications are said to match those of the Quest 2, while also integrating some advanced features from the future Quest 3 model.

In this advertisement, you’ll find both the Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S displayed together, with a note saying the Meta Quest series begins at just $299.99. A small section at the bottom reveals that the 128GB version of the Meta Quest 3S will cost the same price, $299.99.

The leaked advertisement aligns with recently published photos, offering users an all-around perspective of the Quest 3S for the first time. This model showcases color passthrough technology at a reduced resolution compared to the Quest 3, and it employs older lenses. However, it retains the same controllers as the Quest 3, which was unveiled towards the end of last year.

The Model 3S of The Quest series will boast a slightly diminished battery life compared to the Quest 3 model. Additionally, unlike its counterpart, it lacks a headset jack, which has drawn disappointment from virtual reality enthusiasts globally. However, it’s essential to note that this device isn’t intended as an upgrade for those who already own a Quest 3. Instead, Meta designed the Model 3S as an affordable and competitive option tailored specifically for newcomers to virtual reality gaming.

If this price is correct, the Quest 3S becomes one of the most affordably priced VR headsets out there. Plus, since it allows access to the same extensive library as Quest 3 users, it’s a downright great deal.
