How to Find and Beat Fuban in Black Myth: Wukong

How to Find and Beat Fuban in Black Myth: Wukong

As a seasoned adventurer with countless hours spent traversing the mystical realms of Black Myth: Wukong, I can wholeheartedly attest to the exhilarating challenge that the secretive boss, Fuban, presents. This towering scarab Yaoguai is no pushover, but neither is a determined Monkey King like myself!

As you progress through Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 2, you’ll encounter a character known as the Yellow-Robed Squire who is inebriated. He’ll assign you a complex side mission, requiring your assistance to locate the “Realm of Gold”. If you manage to complete this quest, you’ll gain access to a secret region called the Kingdom of Sahali. The Kingdom of Sahali harbors numerous secrets, one of which is a large scarab Yaoguai boss named Fuban.

In the game Black Myth: Wukong, Fuban isn’t compulsory to fight, but taking him down is advantageous as he drops items – a Vessel and Horn – that could aid you in your adventure. Here’s a strategy for defeating Fuban.

How To Beat Fuban in Black Myth: Wukong

Initially, remember not to be overwhelmed by Fuban’s size; though he is a covert boss in Black Myth: Wukong, this battle isn’t as challenging as the ones encountered in Chapter 2. However, it would be wise to gather plenty of healing items and consider upgrading your Gourd for a smoother experience.

At the beginning of the battle, Fuban will sneakily hide beneath the ground. As he bursts out from the sand, he’ll soar skyward aiming to squash you with his flopping assault. To dodge this attack without sustaining damage, it’s crucial that you time your evasion precisely. Once Fuban has landed, he tends to remain stationary for a while, providing an opportunity for you to strike back.

Concentrate your assault on his sharp claws, and you’ll gradually chip away at his health bar. Adopt the Thrust Stance to launch a long-range heavy attack aimed at his claws. While Fuban may not move much during this phase, he’s liable to violently shake his head. Stay alert and be ready to evade any potential slams or attacks he might unleash.

After depleting roughly one-third of Fuban’s health, he will burrow underground and swim towards you through the sand. Be vigilant and observe his movements closely. Remember, Fuban’s next attack will emerge from beneath the sand using his horn, so continue to dodge to remain safe. To stay unharmed, utilize the “Pillar Stance” to rise above the sand.

In time, Fuban is bound to resurface from the sand and initiate a sequence of jumping assaults, marking the start of the second round in our battle. Fortunately, the Yellow Wind Sage will step in by beating his drums, momentarily stunning Fuban, which presents you with an opportunity to scramble onto its back and recover the Vessel.

Together with the Wind Sage, you’ll unleash powerful gusts of wind that send Fuban tumbling to the earth. With the Sage by your side, you’ll have a better chance of permanently vanquishing Fuban.
