As a seasoned adventurer who’s traversed countless virtual landscapes, I can confidently say that the soaks in Black Myth: Wukong are as intriguing as they are essential for survival. Each one offers unique advantages, from purging negative effects to restoring health and Gourd uses.
In Black Myth: Wukong, players have numerous opportunities to tailor their equipment setup. Ranging from selecting weapons and protective gear to adjusting the properties of your healing flask, there is a multitude of options to configure the Hero according to your chosen gameplay approach.
In the game “Black Myth: Wukong”, soaks serve as additional enhancements for the Destined One’s healing potions. At Keeper Shrines, you can choose and carry anywhere from one to four soaks, depending on your selected potion. These soaks come with a variety of effects, such as boosting resistance or altering the power and duration of spells. Choosing the right soaks can significantly ease gameplay. This guide offers links to individual chapter guides where applicable. Throughout the game, there are 27 different soaks to discover.

Soaks in Chapter 6: Unfinished
In the concluding chapter of ‘Black Myth: Wukong’, a unique item named “Flower Prime Soak” appears at the start of Chapter 6, placed within Shen Monkey’s store. This special drink has the power to remove all Four Banes effects from the Destined One whenever consumed, serving as an effective strategy against adversaries proficient in wielding multiple elements. Although there are not many such enemies in the game, they often prove to be formidable. In confrontations with foes utilizing a single element, this Flower Prime Soak still offers a valuable emergency solution for clearing detrimental effects.
Other Soaks
To put these last two game items, Graceful Orchid and Guanyin’s Willow Leaf, into your collection, you need to take a few additional actions first.
Graceful Orchid
The seeds can be acquired at the Zodiac Village in the Ruyi Scroll, by conversing with Chen Loong once you’ve presented him with all fifteen types of seeds. Since these seeds are primarily found randomly while picking plants across the game’s six chapters, this task can prove challenging.
Once you’ve collected all the seeds and delivered them to Chen Loong, you’ll get the “Graceful Orchid Soak.” Consuming this will make the “Chosen One” recover extra health gradually over time. This works much like the [original item], but the Graceful Orchid lasts longer and restores more health.
Guanyin’s Willow Leaf
The Soak item is only accessible when starting a new game cycle after completing the initial game. Once you’ve done so, Shen Monkey can be found again, and from him, you can buy the Soak. Guanyin’s Willow Leaf restores the Destined One’s Gourd uses upon resurrection in combat, designed to work with the Life-Saving Strand spell. This combination can fully restore the Destined One to their maximum strength during a fight if they are defeated. However, using this means giving up the additional power provided by Pluck of Many.
In addition to its role within gameplay, this final scene raises an intriguing query: While Bodhisattva Guanyin plays a significant part in Journey to the West, she seems scarcely referenced in Black Myth: Wukong. Apart from a fleeting cameo at the conclusion of Chapter 1 and a passing mention in Black Bear Guai’s journal entry, her presence is noticeably sparse within the narrative. It leaves one wondering if upcoming DLC might delve into her current location.
