New Assassin’s Creed Shadows Dev Diary Leaks Online Showing New Gameplay

As a seasoned Assassin’s Creed fan, I’ve seen my fair share of worlds and gameplay mechanics evolve over time. But with the leaked footage of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, it seems Ubisoft has truly outdone themselves! A dynamic world that changes based on weather? A customizable Hideout with an armory, dojo, and more? Sign me up for November 12th, 2024!

A sneak peek at the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows developer diary has surfaced online, showcasing fresh gameplay elements and featuring clips demonstrating how the game environment adapts according to varying weather conditions.

The leak comes from IGN China, and while the gameplay is almost certainly going to be taken down, we’ll have mirrors of the footage available below:

In the fresh demonstration of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, we find a “next-level reality” instead, which redefines the limits of a truly interactive world. This enhancement encompasses a complete cycle of seasons, transforming not just the visual aspect but also affecting your character’s actions and mobility within it. For instance, an area initially inaccessible due to a large expanse of water could be traversable during winter as it freezes over.

The new footage also showcases the new animation system used in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which creates an even more immersive world for players to enjoy.

The gameplay unveils your personal “Hideout”, which is a one-acre plot of land. This private space allows players to freely construct various structures such as an armory, dojo, altar, and many more. Customization options are vast, enabling you to decide where to place each building, select roof designs, set up interior layouts, and even choose where to showcase your weapons and armor.

The action-adventure game “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” is set to be released on November 12, 2024, and it will be playable on the PlayStation 5, the Xbox Series S and X consoles, as well as personal computers.
