Prism Herb is a key ingredient in many useful items in StarRupture. Players need to collect a lot of it to learn new crafting recipes and progress to the later stages of the game. However, it’s a rare plant, and the frequent Rupture Waves make it challenging to gather.
We’ve found a good place to farm Prism Herbs, making it easier for players to collect the materials needed to unlock all items at the Food Station. Follow this guide to learn how to get these herbs and craft powerful consumables that will protect you from all the dangers of Arcadia-7 in StarRupture.
Prism Herb Location in StarRupture
Prism Herb is a plant similar in appearance to lavender, and it’s commonly found growing near water sources like Hydrobulbs. You can easily spot it by its purplish-blue hue and the bright, butterfly-like insects that flutter around it.
These plants are usually found in areas that are good for building bases later in the game, such as the Mid-Eastern part of Arcadia-7 or The Reach. They grow around the center of the map, in ponds or near rivers, but they avoid areas with lots of dangerous creatures or radiation.
East of the Orbital Lander (the starting area), you’ll find a pond near a hill. If you head straight past the Abandoned Settlement, you’ll reach a higher area with hills, then a flat plateau. Beyond the plateau are valuable resources like Quartz, Sulfur, Pure Titanium, Wolfram, and Helium-3.

The central feature of this area is a pond teeming with Hydrobulbs, perfect for harvesting. A small island sits in the middle of the pond, covered in Prism Herbs.
In Arcadia-7, all plants are destroyed whenever a Rupture Wave occurs. Because plants regrow rapidly after a wave passes, players need to gather resources during the calm periods between waves. These waves happen unpredictably, so you won’t know exactly when one will hit. If a wave catches you away from your main base, you can quickly collect a Meteorite and build a temporary shelter to stay safe.
Prism Herbs are required to unlock the recipes for:
- Calorie Chew (Restores 40 Calories)
- Aqua Chew (Restores 100 Hydration)
- Nutri Chew (Restores 30 Calories and 40 Hydration)
- Energy Boost Chew (Triples Energy Regeneration. Adds 40 Toxicity).
- Infection Res Plasm (Doubles Infection Resistance for 10 minutes. Adds 40 Toxicity).
To unlock all the recipes and craft the helpful items, you’ll need about 200 Prism Herbs, and likely more. The Infection Resistance Plasm and Energy Boost Chew are particularly good for fighting large groups of Vermin. Use these items to boost your abilities, allowing you to defeat the Vermin and collect their Biofacts – biological samples you can bring to the Analysis Station to earn Data Points.
