The popularity of games where you survive and use weapons continues to grow, and Palworld is poised to become a big name in gaming. This is happening even though Nintendo is currently challenging the game in court, claiming it’s too similar to Pokémon.
The popular monster-collecting game, developed by Pocketpair, is expanding into the physical realm! They’ve partnered with Bushiroad to create an official trading card game based on the hit survival title.
Strategy, Competitive Battles, and Pals In Your Hands

The Palworld Official Card Game is built for competitive, head-to-head battles. Players will strategically deploy their Pals – each with its own special traits and skills – onto the field, similar to the video game, to try and win.
I’m really excited about this card game! It’s not just about battling, though – it looks like we’ll also be gathering resources and building up our bases, just like in the main Palworld game on PC and consoles. The official site says we’ll be teaming up with our Pals to take on tough enemies, and it sounds like a lot of fun!
The Palworld Trading Card Game combines collecting creatures with managing resources, mirroring the addictive gameplay that made the original Palworld video game a huge success when it came out in 2024.
Players will ultimately aim to become skilled with their Pal decks, winning by combining strong Pals with smart deck building.
A short teaser for the upcoming card game is now available, showcasing some of the beautiful artwork players will see in the game! You can watch it below.
Good news for Palworld fans: the official card game is launching on July 30th!
Although the exact prices and full list of cards aren’t available yet, Pocketpair announced on the official Palworld Discord that they will share more information soon.

I’m really excited about this project because it’s being made with Bushiroad! They’re a huge name in card games – you probably know them from games like Cardfight!! Vanguard, Weiss Schwarz, and Shadowverse: Evolve. Knowing they’re involved gives me a lot of confidence that bringing Palworld to tabletop will be done right, because they really know what they’re doing.
As a Palworld fan, I’m so excited to see Pocketpair really investing in the game! This new trading card game shows they’re not just thinking about the digital version – they’re taking Palworld into the world of tabletop games almost two years after its amazing launch on Steam. It really feels like they see Palworld as something that’s going to be around for a long, long time, which is awesome!
Palworld’s development hasn’t been without challenges. The game is currently involved in a legal dispute with Nintendo, which claims it copies elements from the Pokémon series. While the outcome of this legal battle remains uncertain, the new expansion shows the developers are committed to Palworld’s future and have big plans, despite these difficulties.
