You’ll find copper as ore, but you need to refine it into ingots to make better items. If you’re just starting out, it can be tricky, but TopMob has a clear guide to help.

Best Location To Find Copper Ore In Hytale
Copper Ore in Hytale isn’t found in one specific place. You’ll have the best luck finding it by exploring caves underground, where it’s plentiful.
Copper is a common ore in Hytale, and it’s one of the first you’ll find. It’s easily recognizable by its bright orange rocks.
To gather this material, you’ll need a Pickaxe. Fortunately, it’s one of the first things you can make, and it doesn’t require many resources. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 2x Any Rubble
- 2x Plant Fiber
- 2x Sticks
After you’ve gathered the necessary materials, you can make a basic Pickaxe right in your inventory. With that, you’ll be able to mine Copper Ore, but you’ll still need to learn how to refine it into Ingots.
How To Craft Copper Ingots In Hytale
To craft Copper Ingots, you’ll need to smelt the Copper Ore in a Furnace.
To craft a Furnace in Hytale, you’ll first need to build a Workbench. Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
- 4x Any Tree Truck
- 3x Any Stone
Feel free to put the crafting table wherever you want and open it. You’ll find a list of things you can make, and to turn your Copper Ore into bars, you’ll need to build a Furnace. Here’s what you need to make one:
- 6x Any Tree Trunk
- 6x Any Stone
Now that you’ve built a Furnace, you’re almost ready to start smelting Copper! Just make sure you have some Fuel – any Logs will do for now. Put the Logs in the Fuel slot and place your Copper Ore in the Input slot.
Alright, awesome! Once I get my Copper Ore into the smelter, it starts turning into Ingots – one Ingot for every piece of Ore. It takes a little bit, but soon I’ll have a good pile of Copper Ingots ready to use for making new stuff. Can’t wait to craft some new gear!
