Apparently, Sian was originally designed to wear silver armor, but the creator, Chugong, switched it to red because silver would have been too difficult to keep clean after battles. That’s why Igris ended up with her signature red armor.

This confirms that Sian Halat is an official part of Igris’s backstory, not just something added for the Solo Leveling Arise game.
