With my extensive knowledge of the series, which includes Endless Space, Endless Legend, and the more recent dungeon crawler gem, Endless Dungeon, I can’t help but be drawn into the rich tapestry of stories that Amplitude Studios weaves.
As an ardent enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the illustrious publisher, Sega, has unveiled a fresh literary venture nestled within the captivating world of Endless Dungeon (masterfully crafted by Amplitude Studios). Titled “Shadow of the Endless”, this novel promises an immersive journey through the enigmatic realms I’ve grown to love.
In a nutshell, the vast cosmos has expanded significantly, and the latest game from the studio introduced an exploration of labyrinths, aptly named “Endless Maze,” which we found quite enjoyable.
The synopsis for the new novel is as follows:
As a young explorer from a space-faring civilization faces relentless pursuit by a formidable adversary, she uncovers a traitor within their own group. She embarks on an enlightening adventure spanning the cosmos in a bid to protect all that she holds dear.
In a spacefaring fleet that has been persistently pursued throughout the cosmos by Emperor Zelevas’ Dominion, young Pilgrim Sewa Eze harbors a single dream – to transform into an explorer, venturing deep into the unknown on desolate moons, asteroids, and planets to procure essential resources, ancient artifacts known as Endless relics, and even Dust.
On the other hand, an enigmatic artifact is found buried in the comet’s ice – hinting at mysterious forces at play – which leads to Sewa being chosen for a leadership position during the Ceremony of Duties. This unexpected turn of events forces her to reevaluate her life, starting with identifying the traitor within their ranks whose actions jeopardize the very existence of their entire fleet…
