How To Gain Trust in Frostpunk 2
While there are a few different ways to increase Trust with a Faction, each of them can affect your city’s development, which is why you need to be careful.
Fund Projects
The easiest way to gain a Faction’s Trust is to support and fund their projects. You’ll need somewhere between 100 and 300 Heatstamps to fund projects. Funding projects can improve your relationship with a Faction, but they can also have unintended consequences. Funded projects can sometimes lead to rallies or demonstrations on the streets. These events can increase Tension and worsen relationships with opposing factions.
Stay True To Your Promises
Keeping promises can enhance trust within a group, whereas breaking them may diminish it. By consistently honoring your commitments, you can build and strengthen trust with a particular faction. This could involve promising to pursue a preferred project, enact a specific law, or construct a facility that directly benefits the faction.
After agreeing to a commitment, a countdown begins, and it’s essential to meet that commitment within the given timeframe in order to build up your Trust. Additionally, you have the option to set promises at your convenience and ensure their fulfillment.
Grant An Agenda
As a gamer, I can say that instead of pledging something directly, you can boost your Trust levels by giving a faction a task or agenda. This means, they get to propose the next law at the Council, essentially letting them call the shots for a bit.
In simpler terms, you could easily gain trust from different groups by presenting them with your agendas, without necessarily offering anything in return. Through dialogue with conflicting parties, you may even have the power to shape the final decision on a proposed law, potentially favoring yourself.
Certain laws can directly improve your Trust with a faction if they align with their interests or address their concerns, while others can lower it. If a law is negatively affecting your Trust, you should address it in the next Council meeting and get it reversed.
Promote Factions
Another option to earn a Faction’s loyalty is by elevating their status, which I would rephrase as boosting their standing. Boosting a faction results in additional seats on the Council for them and enhances their power. This shift can sway decisions towards their favored laws, yet it might stir dissent among those who oppose them.
