Square Enix Announces 9 Classic Titles for Xbox at TGS 2024

As an old-school gamer with memories of playing these iconic games etched deep into my gaming memory, I can hardly contain my excitement! Square Enix‘s announcement that Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Mana series are coming to Xbox feels like a dream come true.

During the Tokyo Game Show 2024 live stream, Square Enix revealed that games from the Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Mana franchises will be released on Xbox consoles.

Square Enix Games Available on Xbox Today

Through Xbox Game Pass, Square Enix is making available two of its titles today: Trials of Mana and Legend of Mana. In Trials of Mana, players get to select 3 characters from a pool of 6, each choice leading to a distinct storyline. Conversely, Legend of Mana offers a single protagonist who embarks on 68 quests that intertwine with the three main plots.

In simpler terms, the Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster is a collection of Square Enix games that you can play on Xbox and PC today, but they’re not part of Game Pass. This updated version offers six games with enhanced pixel art for high-definition screens and improved audio. Plus, it comes with additional features like various font options, the ability to change tracks, turning off random enemy battles, and more to enhance your gaming experience.

Coming to Xbox Soon

On November 14th, Square Enix is set to introduce Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, one of their renowned RPGs, on Xbox. If you preorder the game by November 13th, you’ll receive a complimentary Travel Kit with no hassle, containing seeds that boost strength, defense, agility, life, and magic. To retrieve your bonus items, simply open a treasure chest at Patty’s Party Planning Place.
