As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent navigating the mystical lands of Hyrule, I can confidently say that the latest addition to the Legend of Zelda franchise, Echoes of Wisdom, has once again proven its mettle. While Princess Zelda may not wield the iconic sword and cap of Link, her gameplay offers a refreshing twist that’s as enchanting as it is challenging.
In the game titled “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom“, it is actually Princess Zelda who assumes the lead character position. Unlike Link, her gameplay style varies, yet one thing that remains constant for both characters is the significance of Rupees and their worth. Rupees serve as the currency in “The Legend of Zelda” series, and it’s advisable to develop an early practice of gathering them throughout your adventure. Starting your journey in “Echoes of Wisdom” with minimal funds, there are strategies to swiftly increase your total.
Best Early Methods for Farming Rupees
Treasure Chests, Cutting Grass
Zelda lacks the iconic sword and cap, but she has her own spin attack in Echoes of Wisdom. By tapping the R-button, Zelda can spin in a circle and cut down grass. While it doesn’t sound exciting on paper, longtime Zelda fans know that cutting grass will sometimes uproot Rupees. Thus, you should cut grass and weeds wherever you go. The Rupees that drop from grass will normally be Green Rupees (value of 1), but if you’re lucky, you may get a Blue Rupee (value of 5).
Should you master the Ignizol Echo technique, it will allow you to set grass ablaze. You’ll discover an Ignizol hidden within a cave on your journey towards the Still Suthorn Forest. However, be mindful not to let Zelda come under the fire’s path. If she does, quickly press the R-button to extinguish the flames.
A quick method for obtaining Indian currency is by unlocking treasure chests. Keep your eyes peeled, as you may discover a hard-to-reach chest that needs your Echoes to open. There’s one on the left side cliff in Suthorn Forest containing 50 Rupees. Don’t forget to open every chest you come across in dungeons, as most of them contain Red or Purple Rupees.
Farming Rupees with Crow Echo
How to Get Crow Echo
Once you’ve completed the Suthorn Ruins Dungeon, you encounter Lueberry, who is Impa’s elder sibling. Next, your objective involves locating two massive fissures, one in the Gerudo Desert and another in Jabul Ruins. If you follow the path to the left from Lueberry’s residence, you’ll find yourself in a region with crows. Defeat one of these crows using one of your Echoes, and then acquire the Crow Echo ability. Now, possessing four sets of Tri’s power, you can summon two Crow Echoes simultaneously. One Crow Echo demands the use of two sets from Tri’s power.
Using the Crow Echo, you can select enemies by pressing the ZL-button and make them attack when you tap the Y-button. Enemies struck with the Crow Echo might drop one or two Rupees. However, if you successfully defeat an enemy with the Crow Echo, they’ll scatter a collection of Green and Blue Rupees. Additionally, your Crow Echo may snatch up a Rupee for you if it’s not focused on an enemy.
Beware! If you encounter Crows while losing Rupees, they might attempt to snatch those away from you. To retrieve your Rupees, simply defeat the Crow.
