Nvidia RTX 50 Series Leaks Reveal Memory And Power Totals

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must say that the latest leaks about the Nvidia RTX 50 Series graphics cards have certainly piqued my interest. If these rumors are true, it seems like Nvidia is aiming to take power consumption to a whole new level with their flagship RTX 5090 card. I’ve been through quite a few upgrades in my time, but 600W TGP? That’s some serious juice!

Information about the upcoming Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards is yet to be officially released, but recent leaks might give us a sneak peek into what’s coming.

Based on information from reliable source eXtas1s, Nvidia’s premium graphics card model, the RTX 5090, is expected to boast 32GB of GDDR7 memory and a power consumption of 600 watts. The mid-range RTX 5080, on the other hand, may come equipped with 16GB of GDDR7 memory and a power consumption of 400 watts.

For comparison purposes, the RTX 4090 has a TGP of 450W while the RTX 4080 has a TGP of 320W.

Details such as the complete unveiling of the RTX 50 Series graphics cards are likely to be shared during, or near, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2025.

The initial spills reveal the upcoming graphics card series. Previously, in September, there were reports suggesting that the RTX 50 Series would draw more power compared to its predecessor. This new information seems to support that claim. Additionally, it was initially reported in July that the next line of cards wouldn’t be released until 2025.

TopMob contacted Nvidia for a comment regarding the leaks, however, there was no reply by the time of publication.
