In a short span of time, “Horizon” has proven itself to be one of PlayStation’s most adaptable first-party franchises, and “LEGO Horizon Adventures” embodies this versatility perfectly. This upcoming game will infuse the series with a more playful, family-oriented vibe, while still preserving its unique visual style and staying true to its narrative and lore. It significantly expanded the scope of the game. Contrary to the grandiose approach of LEGO The Skywalker Saga, LEGO Horizon Adventures offers a more compact gaming experience. While the former aimed for maximum scope in terms of missions, side content, collectibles, and playable characters, the latter focuses on retelling the story from Horizon Zero Dawn, infusing it with its own delightful twists. Players will still gather new outfits and structures for their hub world, but the number of collectibles to find throughout the game levels is likely not to exceed a thousand as in LEGO The Skywalker Saga.
In contrast to LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which raised the bar for licensed LEGO games with its expansive scope yet faced criticism for excessive filler, LEGO Horizon Adventures could provide a more streamlined and manageable experience for fans, offering fewer but more focused hours of gameplay.
