Every Game Confirmed for Summer Game Fest So Far

Currently, Xbox seems to be leading the way with announcements before Summer Game Fest, having already revealed a significant number of games. Among the most exciting is Gears of War: E-Day, which will get its own dedicated presentation alongside the main Xbox Games Showcase. Other titles, including Aniimo and Grave Seasons, will be playable for the press and content creators at Xbox’s Summer Game Fest Play Days. Beyond Xbox, the Future Games Show Summer Showcase also has some noteworthy games, like EXODUS – a game similar to Mass Effect from Archetype Entertainment – and Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival.

ARC Raiders Update Walks Back Controversial Feature, Plans New Anti-Cheat Measures

Following its release, ARC Raiders is getting some big changes. Embark Studios announced they’re shifting from releasing smaller updates every month to focusing on two major updates each year. They realized trying to meet the monthly schedule was making it difficult to deliver the ambitious, large-scale improvements they envision for the game. Fans got a first look at ‘Frozen Trail,’ the first of these major updates, coming in October – and it will include the game’s biggest map yet. Smaller updates and ongoing live service features, like the patch released on May 19th, will still be released regularly.

I didn’t have high expectations at first, but learning it’s a passion project by a single developer who’s been working for four years to revive this overlooked series sparked my interest. Plus, the Steam playtest is incredibly generous, offering access to a substantial amount of content – 11 missions across three campaigns, two standalone scenarios, and 9 tutorials – giving players a lot to explore.

Another source, Nash Weedle, suggests a new 2D Zelda game starring Ganondorf is also in development, potentially using a similar style and engine as Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. It’s still unconfirmed if either of these rumors are true, but there’s a third, less-publicized leak adding to the speculation.
