‘Is This a Reference?’ Tarkov Quest Guide

‘Is This a Reference?’ Tarkov Quest Guide

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Escape From Tarkov has truly outdone itself with this latest update. The new map-to-map travel system is not just a breath of fresh air, but a gust of wind that sweeps away all the tedious running and fast travel fees.

As an enthusiastic player, I’m thrilled about the latest addition by Battlestate Games to Escape from Tarkov – a colossal, intriguing mission titled ‘Is This a Wink?’ This peculiar quest tasks players, including me, to strategically set up numerous Wi-Fi Camera devices all over the game maps. The catch? These cameras must be positioned at spots that are reminiscent of other games, films, and TV shows, among other references. It’s an exciting challenge that adds a layer of immersion and mystery to the already captivating world of Escape from Tarkov.

Stock Up on Wi-Fi Cameras

To finish the “Is This a Reference” challenge in Escape from Tarkov, you’ll initially require twenty-seven wireless surveillance cameras for starters, which serves as your primary obstacle to overcome.

Currently, Wi-Fi Cameras are being sold on The Flea Market for approximately €900, or about 140,000 roubles. If you’re not shopping at The Flea Market, consider bargaining with Mechanic for Wi-Fi Cameras instead. You’ll need to exchange 1 Electronic Component and 1 Powerbank, but this method may be less cost-effective since it will cost around 200,000 roubles per barter.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve learned that each stocking event only provides me with four devices. There’s a bit of a wait too – about two hours or so – before the system resets for another round.

Since Wi-Fi Cameras are scarcely available, it’s unlikely that you’ll stumble upon one during your explorations in Escape from Tarkov. Consequently, you might find yourself spending an extended period of time attempting to finish the mission called “Is This a Reference.

How to Complete Is This a Reference in Tarkov

To begin with, you must have a minimum Fence reputation of 1.0 to access this task initially. After meeting this requirement, proceed by arming yourself with Wi-Fi Cameras before embarking on your journey in Tarkov.

You’ll be traversing various locations such as the Streets of Tarkov, Reserve, Forest, Shoreline, Ground Zero, Lighthouse, and Factory for this mission.

Currently, there’s not much detail to fill out an Is This a Reference guide as very few gamers have discovered the locations hinted at in the task.
