PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members have a lot to look forward to this Tuesday, January 20th! Nine new games will be added to the service, while four others will be removed.
PlayStation Plus has different levels of service. The basic ‘Essential’ tier gives you access to games that stay available as long as you remain a subscriber – they’re like free games you can keep playing. The ‘Extra’ and ‘Premium’ tiers are different; games are added and removed each month, similar to how Xbox Game Pass works. PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium usually get a big update with new games every month, and the next update is scheduled for January 20th.
PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members will get eight new games on January 20th, including A Little to the Left, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, Art of Rally, Darkest Dungeon, Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Resident Evil Village, and The Exit 8. Premium members will also get the classic PS1 game Ridge Racer. On the same day, several games will be leaving the PS Plus Extra and Premium libraries, including Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Monopoly Plus, Sayonara Wild Hearts, and SD Gundam Battle Alliance.
New PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for January 2026

- A Little to the Left
- A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead
- Art of Rally
- Darkest Dungeon
- Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game
- Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
- Resident Evil Village
- Ridge Racer (Premium only)
- The Exit 8
Subscribers to the Extra and Premium tiers will soon have access to nine new games, featuring some popular titles. Resident Evil Village is joining the lineup just a month before the release of its sequel, Resident Evil Requiem, and Darkest Dungeon is a critically acclaimed favorite. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, a lengthy and highly-rated RPG and a standout in the Like a Dragon series, is also being added. While Infinite Wealth alone would make the January 2026 PS Plus Extra and Premium update noteworthy, it’s arriving as another Like a Dragon game is being removed.
PS Plus Extra and Premium Games Leaving Soon
- Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name
- Monopoly Plus
- Sayonara Wild Hearts
- SD Gundam Battle Alliance
Just as Infinite Wealth becomes available on PS Plus Extra and Premium, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be leaving the service. Gaiden is a shorter game than Infinite Wealth, with a classic beat ’em up fighting style seen in older Like a Dragon titles. It also tells a particularly moving story, and its events directly connect to what happens in Infinite Wealth.
It’s disappointing that both Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Infinite Wealth won’t be available with the PS Plus Extra subscription starting January 20th. However, Like a Dragon Gaiden is a relatively short game – you can finish it in under 15 hours – so subscribers still have time to play it before it’s removed. Still, with Infinite Wealth arriving just as The Man Who Erased His Name leaves, January 20th will likely be a frustratingly mixed day for PS Plus members.
