How Skill Upgrades Work In Throne And Liberty

How Skill Upgrades Work In Throne And Liberty

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent navigating the intricate worlds of various MMORPGs, I find myself particularly drawn to the depth and strategic complexity presented in Throne and Liberty. The skill system in this game is not just another cookie-cutter progression mechanic; it’s a carefully crafted symphony that requires a delicate balance between offensive prowess and survivability.

In Throne and Liberty, there are numerous components involved in advancing a character. You’ll find a wide variety of weapon options that will shape your gameplay experience, along with the ability to allocate skills to these weapons, and, indeed, enhancing those skills to boost their effectiveness.

Many abilities, both active and passive, will be inaccessible until certain character levels are reached, ranging from level 3 to the maximum level of 50. Upon reaching these levels, players can add these skills to their equipment setup. However, these skills won’t improve automatically; instead, they’ll need specific upgrades using special items.

What Do You Need To Upgrade Skills In Throne And Liberty?

To enhance a particular skill, you’ll require a Skill Enhancement Manual. These manuals exist in two types: Active Skill Enhancement Manuals for your active skills and Passive Skill Enhancement Manuals for your passive skills. Additionally, these manuals can have varying levels of rarity.

Initially, your abilities will be of Common rank. As they get enhanced, they’ll also become more scarce. When an ability levels up to a higher rarity, its value resets. There are five stages to move from one rarity to another, and it becomes increasingly challenging to advance an ability towards the next rarity compared to the last upgrade.

Where To Get Skill Growth Books In Throne and Liberty?

Players will have the opportunity to craft these books using suitable resources like High-Grade Marind Ore and Rare Marind Ore. These valuable ores can be earned by progressing through the game, interacting with NPCs, finding them in chests, or even mining yourself. Taking a break during quests to fish and mine is an ideal method for accumulating materials, thereby broadening your gaming experiences.

To create these books, you should visit a research center specialized in skills (Skill Development Center), ensuring you have the necessary resources. The cost varies based on your location, so keep in mind it could be beneficial to delay the upgrade and save Sollant for other purposes.

Players have the option to acquire these books that are already finished, serving as reward items. They can obtain these rewards via the Battle Pass, by fulfilling quests, or even through event rewards.

As a fervent admirer, I’m excited to share that by delving into the captivating narrative, you’ll eventually encounter Adrian Marind. This engrossing tale doubles as a guide for mastering these intriguing books. However, before reaching that quest, you can already enhance your Skills using the gathered materials!

Upgrading Your Skills In Throne And Liberty

Improving your skills isn’t just about reading a Growth Book and advancing a level, as each book contributes a random increment to the progress. Instead, there are four distinct Skill Development Speeds, Common, Intermediate, Greater, and Special. Each rate provides a different growth percentage and amount, offering varying degrees of improvement.

RatePercentageGrowth Rate
Common40%40
Intermediate30%50
Greater20%70
Special10%100

In simpler terms, advancing a skill by one full level can only occur due to a Special action. Any excess beyond that will be carried over to the upcoming skill enhancement – much like how the system functions during player gear upgrades.

It’s wiser for players to strive for even distribution of skill rarity, rather than focusing solely on maximizing one skill to Epic level. This approach promotes a balanced character capable of consistently executing their gameplay style. To conquer the challenges that lie ahead, it’s essential to balance offensive prowess with durability. An unbalanced set of skills could make higher-level confrontations problematic due to vulnerabilities in a player’s strategy.

Swapping Skills

Users can expect an easy transition between their weapons, but changing skills is a much more complex task. Apart from the Level Up interface, there’s also a Swap option. To access this option, users must initially navigate to the skills section, pick a skill, and then choose Skill Growth. Upon doing so, they will find the Swap icon near the Level up on the Enhance Skill page.

This feature allows a player to transfer abilities from an unwanted weapon to another choice they prefer. Players need not fret about selecting the incorrect weapon or developing unnecessary skills. But, remember that for every transfer, you’ll need a Skill Conversion Book, and overusing this function can consume valuable resources that could be used more effectively elsewhere.

Skill Specializations In Throne And Liberty

Similar to how crucial certain stats are for a build, so are the Skill Specializations significant. Once a character reaches level 15, they’ll be granted access to Skill Specializations. Initially, they will possess 10 skill specialization points, but this number increases by 2 for every level up until reaching level 30. From there, they’ll receive an additional 3 skill specialization points for each subsequent level, all the way up to the maximum level of 50. This results in a total of one hundred skill specialization points.

Users can access these skills by navigating to the Skills area, followed by the Skipp Specializations sub-tab. In case users feel unsatisfied with their point allocation, they possess the flexibility to reassign these points whenever they see fit.
