Forza Horizon 6, a major release from Microsoft’s game studios this year, is taking the racing series to a brand new setting.
Following the latest Forza Horizon game being set in Mexico, TopMob has learned the location for Forza Horizon 6.
Where Will Forza Horizon 6 Take Place?
The next Forza Horizon game, Forza Horizon 6, is set in Japan – a location fans have been asking for since the very beginning of the series.
Playground Games revealed the location for Forza Horizon 6 at the Tokyo Game Show in September 2025: Japan. The game will feature beautiful landscapes, including Tokyo, Mount Fuji, and roads filled with cherry blossoms, offering players a stunning experience.
PlayGround Games shared in their FAQ that Japan has been a highly requested location by fans, and bringing the Horizon Festival there represents one of their biggest goals to date.
The creators of Forza Horizon 6 are excited for players to experience a stunning and immersive world, hoping they’ll connect with the game’s beautiful scenery and the cultural richness of Japan when it launches.
As a Forza Horizon fan, I’m so excited they’re taking us to Japan! It’s awesome to see the series expand to new places – Japan joins a fantastic list that already includes Colorado, France, Italy, Australia, the UK, and Mexico. Each location has been incredible, and I can’t wait to explore Japan!
How Much of Japan Will Forza Horizon 6 Feature?
While we haven’t seen the complete map yet, Forza Horizon 6 will take place across a broad region of Japan, rather than being limited to just one city or area.
Forza Horizon games typically compress the size of real-world locations, letting them pack in diverse environments like deserts and jungles, as seen in Forza Horizon 5. Plus, the changing seasons dramatically alter how the game world looks.
We can expect to see Tokyo and Mt. Fuji in the game, and more information about the game’s map and how it stacks up in size to past titles will be shared closer to release.
