Despite their ominous name, Blood Petals are a valuable resource in Hytale, primarily used for one important crafting purpose. They’re quite rare, but we’ve found the best and most accessible location to help you find them.
The name ‘Blood Petals’ might make you think they’re incredibly difficult to find, like something you’d only get after a huge challenge. But surprisingly, you can actually find them quite early in the game! If you’re wondering where to look and what they do, IG has put together a complete guide to Blood Petals in Hytale.
Best Location to Find Blood Petals in Hytale Early On
A great way to get Blood Petals early in the game is to search dark forests in the beginner area for Blood Roses and then break them open using a tool like a Pickaxe.
Here’s a quick walkthrough on what to do:
- Load into your Hytale world.
- Got to Zone 1, or any deep, dark forest area (as shown above).
- Explore until you see a glowing red plant.
- If it’s called Blood Roses, you’ve found what you need.
- Hit it with a Tool, such as a Pixckaxe or Cleaver.
- Provided you’ve done this correctly, the Blood Roses should now be replaced by Blood Petals.
You don’t actually need to go to risky areas to find Blood Petals. As TopMob discovered – and you can see in the screenshot – Blood Roses can be found in certain parts of the forest, specifically areas with that darker green ground. This particular section of the forest held several of them.
Just so you know, Blood Roses are the sole source of Blood Petals. You obtain the petals by damaging the plant – essentially cutting it to collect them.
What Are Blood Petals Used For In Hytale?
The main use for Blood Petals is to create Healing Potions in Hytale.
You can regain health by eating raw fish and meat, but to heal quickly and effectively, it’s better to make Healing Potions. Simply waiting for your health to recover leaves you vulnerable, and a strong enemy could easily defeat you.
If you follow these steps consistently, you’ll be able to collect enough Blood Petals to begin making and selling Healing Potions.
