Battlefield 6 Addresses BF Pro Bonus Path Player Frustrations

With the January 20th update for Battlefield 6, EA and Battlefield Studios have addressed problems players were having with progression related to the recent BF Pro Bonus Path rewards. Battlefield 6 had a strong start, but player numbers have decreased recently. This is likely due to competition from other games, as well as various issues within the game, which players have been waiting for the developers to fix.

Players have been increasingly unhappy with the game for some time, particularly with the small map sizes. They’re also disappointed with the cosmetic rewards, feeling they don’t match the developers’ initial vision of realistic outfits. Despite this, EA seems to be listening to the community and has pushed back the start of Season 2 for Battlefield 6 to February. Fortunately, a major source of frustration will be addressed with an update on January 20th.

Battlefield 6 January 20 Update Gets Added Bonus Fix

Players recently criticized a premium upgrade in Battlefield 6 called the BF Pro Bonus Path. This path offered extra rewards beyond the standard Battle Pass, but gave players only a week to unlock all ten tiers. Many felt this wasn’t enough time, and most would likely have to spend in-game currency or real money to finish it. Adding to the frustration, some players thought the final unlockable skin was too similar to one from Call of Duty.

EA has listened to player feedback and is fixing the issue with the Battlefield Pro Path progression. With the January 20 update for Battlefield 6, players who qualified for the BF Pro Pass but couldn’t complete it will receive their rewards through the in-game mailbox. Although the pass is no longer available, this ensures everyone gets what they earned. However, EA hasn’t yet said if they’ll make changes to future passes to avoid similar problems.

The core of this problem is the repetitive gameplay loop in Battlefield 6. Since the game launched, developers have been trying to find the right balance, constantly adjusting challenges to make them quicker and easier. Players continue to point out that this repetitive grind detracts from the enjoyment of the game, and some find it difficult to keep up with the constant demands. Some are also hoping the fix will include a refund for previously purchased Tier Skips, but there hasn’t been any official confirmation about that yet.

Despite early issues, there’s growing hope for the future of Battlefield 6 as EA responds to player feedback and takes extra time with the new season. Season 2 is under a lot of pressure to impress, and players are eager for additions like bigger maps, naval battles, and the return of popular locations from older Battlefield games. For now, fans will need to be patient as EA and Battlefield Studios reveal their plans.
