Microsoft recently announced 10 new games that will be added to Xbox Game Pass soon. While the start of 2024 was a bit quiet for the service, subscribers can look forward to a lot more content arriving shortly.
The latest games added to Xbox Game Pass for January 2026 – Wave 1 – are now complete with the arrival of MIO: Memories in Orbit, a well-received Metroidvania, and Resident Evil Village, a popular survival-horror game from Capcom that comes before the new Resident Evil Requiem. With all the Wave 1 games now available, attention turns to what Xbox Game Pass will offer next.
Okay, fellow gamers, get hyped! Xbox Game Pass is getting a serious boost this January. On January 21st, I’m diving into Death Stranding: Director’s Cut, plus RoadCraft on PC and Ninja Gaiden Ragebound. Then, on January 27th, The Talos Principle 2 drops, and the 28th brings Anno: Mutationem and Drop Duchy. We’re finishing January strong on the 29th with MySims: Cozy Bundle on PC and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 hitting cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X. But wait, there’s more! Microsoft also teased some future titles – Indika is coming February 2nd, 2026, and Final Fantasy 2 on February 3rd, 2026. It’s gonna be a busy couple of years!
The upcoming Xbox Game Pass games will be playable on both PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. Almost all of them will also be included with Game Pass Premium, with the exceptions of MySims: Cozy Bundle and Indika.

Xbox Game Pass isn’t getting any brand new games immediately, but several big titles are still being added soon. January 21st will be a particularly exciting day for subscribers, with the arrival of Death Stranding: Director’s Cut – the best way to play Hideo Kojima’s unique open-world game – and Ninja Gaiden Ragebound, a critically praised 2D installment from last year’s popular series.
Don’t miss out on the highly-rated puzzle game The Talos Principle 2, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was a major success when it launched in 2024. The first-person adventure Indika has also received a lot of praise and even won awards. Plus, there’s Final Fantasy 2, which is a somewhat controversial title in the series. With Final Fantasy 1 recently added to Game Pass, Microsoft appears to be building a comprehensive collection of Final Fantasy games on the service.
Xbox Game Pass Games Leaving on January 31

- Cataclismo
- Citizen Sleeper 2
- Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders
- Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap
- Paw Patrol World
- Shady Part of Me
- Starbound
As a Game Pass subscriber, I just found out that a bunch of games are leaving the service on January 31st! It’s a little sad, but it means I need to make the most of them while I still can. One game everyone seems to be talking about is Citizen Sleeper 2 – it’s gotten really good reviews, so I’m definitely planning to check that one out before it goes!
