January 2026 PS Plus Extra and Premium Games Are Now Live

The PlayStation Plus games for January 2026 are now ready to play! This month includes eight new games, along with a classic PlayStation 1 title added to the PS Plus Premium collection.

Man, PlayStation Plus ended 2025 with a huge drop of nine new games on December 2nd! There was something for everyone – I was stoked to see titles like Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, but also fun stuff like LEGO Horizon Adventures and Cat Quest 3. Now, Sony’s promising to keep that same energy going into January 2026 with another big batch of diverse games.

PS Plus Adds $290 Worth of Games for January 2026

The new PlayStation Plus games for January 2026 are now available! They were released in stages, starting at noon local time, so players in Europe could begin playing about seven hours before those on the East Coast. This month’s lineup includes nine games, with eight of them available to subscribers of both the Extra and Premium tiers. Highlights include the major releases Resident Evil Village and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Other featured titles are the stylish racer Art of Rally, the off-road simulator Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, and the charming puzzle game A Little to the Left from Canadian studio Max Inferno.

January 2026’s PlayStation Plus lineup includes several horror games. Along with Resident Evil Village, subscribers can now play A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, a game based on the popular movie series. Developed by Stormind Games, The Road Ahead focuses on stealth, challenging players to survive after an alien invasion. Like the films, the game features unpredictable and dangerous creatures that are hard to avoid, creating a consistently suspenseful experience. To make things even more immersive and difficult, the game can optionally react to sounds picked up by your microphone.

If you’re looking for a quietly creepy horror experience, January 2026’s PS Plus lineup includes the popular title The Exit 8. Created by a single developer in Japan, Kotake Create, this game doesn’t rely on sudden shocks. Instead, it builds tension and confusion by trapping you in a Tokyo subway tunnel that constantly changes as you try to escape. It’s a short game that creates a similar feeling of psychological stress to PT, combined with the unsettling atmosphere of liminal spaces. Originally released on PC in November 2023, The Exit 8 became available on PlayStation consoles in August 2024.

This month’s PlayStation Plus horror additions wrap up with Darkest Dungeon 2. While not strictly a horror game, the 2023 title creates a deeply unsettling experience with its dark, gothic world, Lovecraftian themes, and oppressive atmosphere. Also new this month is the original Ridge Racer for PlayStation 1, now available in the Classics catalog for Premium members. As usual, some games are leaving PS Plus to make room for the new additions. On January 20th, Monopoly Plus, SD Gundam Battle Alliance, Sayonara Wild Hearts, and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be removed.
