Forget Gojo And Sukuna, JJK’s New Strongest Just Surpassed All Mankind

This article contains spoilers from the latest JJK Modulo Chapter.

In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, two sorcerers consistently stand out: Ryomen Sukuna, the original and incredibly powerful King of Curses, and Gojo Satoru, the modern sorcerer widely considered the strongest. These two were truly equals, possessing power levels so immense that their abilities defied understanding.

Wow, Gojo and Sukuna were just in a league of their own when it came to sorcerers in the JJK universe, weren’t they? It’s crazy to think both of them are gone now – Gojo fell in Shinjuku, and Sukuna wasn’t far behind. But now, almost 70 years later, we have Dabura Karaba, and he’s the new strongest! A lot of people were wondering if he’d even be comparable to Gojo and Sukuna, but honestly, he’s blown past them! He’s actually surpassed all of humanity in terms of raw physical strength, and that includes those two absolute beasts from before.

Gojo and Sukuna Were The Strongest Of The Old Era In JJK

  • Gojo wielded the Limitless and the Six Eyes
  • Sukuna wielded the power of the Shrine

In the original Jujutsu Kaisen story, Gojo and Sukuna were considered the two most powerful sorcerers. Gojo reigned supreme in the present day, while Sukuna was the strongest in the past, and both had abilities unlike anything seen before.

Satoru Gojo came from the renowned Gojo family and was destined to inherit their powerful techniques, which he did. He received both Limitless and the incredibly rare Six Eyes – a combination not seen in 400 years. This gave him immense power, but Gojo didn’t stop there. He trained tirelessly to master his abilities and became a truly legendary sorcerer. Very few could match his strength, and the only character comparable to him was Sukuna.

Sukuna, the King of Curses, was born with an incredibly powerful body naturally suited for Jujutsu sorcery. This is because, before birth, he absorbed his twin in the womb. He actually had two extra arms and a mouth on his stomach, giving him a significant edge in battle. Sukuna’s abilities included ‘Shrine,’ a technique for slicing opponents, and ‘Furnace,’ which allowed him to obliterate enemies with intense, explosive heat.

As a Jujutsu enthusiast, I’m constantly amazed by Sukuna! He wasn’t just powerful, he revolutionized sorcery, doing things nobody else even dreamed of. It’s incredible, but during the Golden Age, sorcerers would actually seek him out for battles – not to win, but to test and hone their own abilities! That really puts his strength into perspective, doesn’t it? He was on a whole other level.

Gojo and Sukuna were unbelievably powerful, a combination the world will likely never witness again. But now, a new, incredibly strong being has appeared – he’s from another planet entirely – and he’s being challenged like never before. This new powerhouse is Dabura Karaba, and chapter 18 of JJK Modulo shows him reaching even greater levels of strength.

Dabura Karaba Has Officially Surpassed Human Limitations

  • For the first time, Dabura is using his technique on his own body
  • Dabura will dance at Sublight speeds

When Dabura appeared in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 18, fans immediately considered him a threat on par with Sukuna. This was due to the fact that he was undeniably a Special Grade cursed spirit, so powerful that the standard Jujutsu society ranking system couldn’t accurately assess his strength. Despite this, the full extent of his power remained a mystery.

When Dabura first showed off his powers, viewers began to understand why he could be as dangerous as Sukuna. It turned out that Dabura actually possessed two unique cursed techniques.

  1. The first is killing intent, given life.
  2. The second is light.

Dabura was incredibly dangerous, able to inflict lethal intent on almost anything, even his own light, which could destroy anyone in the Jujutsu Kaisen world. But his fight with Mahoraga pushed him to his absolute limit. Dabura didn’t understand how Mahoraga could adapt to attacks, so he tried everything he could to defeat it. Gradually, Mahoraga adjusted to each of Dabura’s abilities, eventually mastering his light-based cursed technique. This left Dabura overwhelmed and, for the first time, genuinely afraid of his opponent.

Dabura, a warrior from the Deskunte tribe, is now fully unleashing the power of his cursed technique, pushing himself beyond his previous limits. As stated by the author, Gege Akutami, at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 18, Dabura is entering uncharted territory, exceeding the capabilities of any human before him. Essentially, Dabura is now stronger than both Gojo and Sukuna, demonstrating a level of physical power they never achieved, making him uniquely formidable.

Dabura Can Move At Sublight Speeds

As many fans are aware, Dabura’s powers involve manipulating light, which he’s demonstrated by creating beams and blasts to attack opponents. Despite this, he’s never actually moved at the speed of light or used light to enhance his own body, fearing it would destroy him. Now, however, Dabura is prepared to take his physical limits to the extreme.

According to the story, Dabura is now capable of moving at nearly the speed of light. While he won’t actually reach light speed, he’s moving at a speed so close to it that it’s the maximum his body can handle without falling apart. This puts him on a level that’s beyond the physical perception of even powerful characters like Gojo and Sukuna. Because of this incredible speed and power, it’s highly likely Dabura will win his fight against Mahoraga, as Mahoraga simply wouldn’t be able to react to or defend against attacks coming at such intense speeds.

Dabura Could Easily Become The New Strongest

When it comes to pure physical strength, Dabura is already stronger than both Gojo and Sukuna. The author has confirmed that Dabura has broken through all human limits, reaching a level of physicality no human has ever achieved, which places him above them in that regard.

Jujutsu Sorcery involves more than just basic cursed techniques. Currently, it appears Dabura can’t use the reverse cursed technique, or advanced abilities like barrier techniques, which also means he doesn’t have a domain. These skills are all very important in the world of Jujutsu Sorcery.

Despite everything, Dabura is still developing rapidly. If he keeps improving at this pace, he could eventually become the most powerful character in Jujutsu Kaisen, surpassing even Gojo and Sukuna. Even if he doesn’t reach that level, his current abilities, including movement and attacks faster than the speed of light, put him in strong contention for the title of strongest.

The sequel to Jujutsu Kaisen, titled Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, is currently being published in Weekly Shonen Jump. The story takes place 68 years after the Shinjuku Showdown, and follows Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu, the grandchildren of Yuta and Maki. Chapter 19 is scheduled to be released on January 25, 2026, at midnight in Japan (11:00 AM Eastern Time, 8:00 AM Pacific Time). Fans can read it for free on Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump app.
