8 Biggest New Switch 2 Games Coming in February 2026

The Nintendo Switch 2 had a fantastic year in 2025, launching with a great selection of games and continuing to impress with exclusives like Donkey Kong Bananza and Kirby Air Riders. To keep early buyers satisfied and attract new customers, Nintendo needs to consistently release new, high-quality games for its latest console, which can be played both at home and on the go.

The Switch 2 launched in early 2026 with an enhanced version of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, offering features you won’t find anywhere else. Big games from other companies, like Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, and Dispatch, are also coming to the system. Now that January is ending, Switch 2 owners are eager to see what February has in store, and it looks like next month will be even bigger with even more new releases.

Switch 2 gamers have a lot to look forward to in February! The cozy game Starsand Island arrives on February 1st, followed by the long-awaited Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined on February 5th and PGA Tour 2K25 on February 6th. February 12th and 13th will be especially packed with new releases – Mario Tennis Fever and Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties come out on the 12th, and High on Life 2 and Reanimal on the 13th. After that, things quiet down a little, but the month ends with the release of Resident Evil Requiem.

This isn’t a complete list of every game coming to the Switch 2 in February 2026, but it highlights the biggest and most anticipated releases.

Upcoming Switch 2 Games for February 2026

  • Starsand Island – February 1
  • Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined – February 5
  • PGA Tour 2K25 – February 6
  • Mario Tennis Fever – February 12
  • Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties – February 12
  • High on Life 2 – February 13
  • Reanimal – February 13
  • Resident Evil Requiem – February 27

The new game, Resident Evil Requiem, will launch on the Switch 2 alongside Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village. While Requiem is the most anticipated of the three, players new to the series will have a great opportunity to experience Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village for the first time on the same day.

As a huge Switch fan, I’m really excited about the games coming out in February 2026, and honestly, Mario Tennis Fever is the one I’m keeping my eye on the most. The Mario Tennis games are usually fantastic, and the fact that this one is only on the Switch 2 makes it even more appealing. Everything I’ve seen of it so far looks amazing, and I can’t wait to see how it stacks up against the other games in the series – we won’t have to wait much longer to find out!

Switch 2 Owners Have Even More to Look Forward to in February

February will be a busy month for Nintendo fans! In addition to new game releases for the Switch 2, we’re likely to see both a general Nintendo Direct presentation and a Pokemon Presents event. Nintendo often holds Directs in February, and they have several games planned for the first half of 2026 that haven’t had official release dates announced yet. Pokemon Presents is almost certain to happen on February 27th – Pokemon Day – and will probably give us our first details about the new Generation 10 Pokemon games, which are expected to be exclusive to the Switch 2.

With major events planned and several highly anticipated games coming out, February looks to be one of the most exciting months yet for the Switch 2 since it first became available last June.
