In Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, you need to eliminate all infected people in your camp, leaving only those who are healthy. If you’ve built a strong economy and met the required number of survivors, you’ll unlock one of two possible endings to the Quarantine Zone: The Last Check event.
Should You Leave or Stay at the Camp in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check? (Good Ending)
To get the best outcome in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check on Day 27, players need to meet their goals: send zombies into the cage a minimum of two times and prevent the Survivor area from becoming infected. If they succeed, the main character will receive a congratulatory radio message from Major Rhodes, confirming they’ve finished their service at the camp.
The Major will ask our hero to meet in the Garage to talk about something significant. During this conversation, shown in a cutscene, the Major will give the player a shiny, new golden handgun and suggest they take on a different role.
After the cutscene finishes, players can either leave by taking the helicopter or remain at the camp by going back to their quarters.
What Happens If You Choose to Leave the Camp in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check
If you go to the helipad and use the helicopter, you’ll leave the camp and the game’s story will end. This means you won’t be able to continue playing as the checkpoint officer. The game will save your progress on Day 27, allowing you to revisit this decision later if you wish.
What Happens If You Choose to Stay at the Camp in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check
If you decide to go back to bed, the game will enter Endless Mode, beginning on Day 28.
This update allows you to keep your role as a checkpoint inspector, test out the new handgun you received from the Major, find any collectibles you haven’t gotten yet, and finish any bulletin quests you might have skipped.
No matter which option you pick, you’ll get the “Good Work, Son” trophy or achievement by reaching this ending.
How to Get the Bad Ending for Quarantine Zone: The Last Check
It’s much easier to get the bad ending than the good one, as you don’t have to focus on meeting goals or requirements as much. Just make sure you don’t run out of money and fail to complete at least three quotas.
If you follow the instructions and reach Day 27, you’ll experience a very different encounter with the Major. He’ll be extremely angry with how you’ve been performing and may even threaten you for not doing your job at the camp. This will result in the bad ending for the Quarantine Zone: The Last Check campaign.
Once you reach this ending, you can keep playing in an endless mode. However, you’ll need to start a new game to unlock any other endings. Importantly, you won’t get the golden handgun that’s usually awarded for achieving the good ending.
If you get the worst possible outcome in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, you’ll earn the SNAFU trophy or achievement.
