Best Boss Fights in COD Zombies

As a longtime fan of Call of Duty Zombies, I can confidently say that these boss battles are some of the most thrilling and iconic moments in the series’ history. Let me tell you about my personal favorite: Nikolai Belinski from Black Ops 3’s Gorod Krovi map.

Over the course of “Call of Duty” series, the “Zombies” mode has built a dedicated fanbase that keeps expanding with each new release. As “Call of Duty” games grow increasingly complex, so does the “Call of Duty Zombies” mode. The developers at Treyarch continue to push boundaries and surprise players by incorporating intricate boss battles within their multi-layered Easter egg main quests.

As a dedicated gamer immersed in the thrilling world of Call of Duty Zombies, I’ve encountered some truly remarkable boss fights that push my skills to the limit. From clever wipe mechanics that keep you on your toes, to intimidating bosses that leave me awestruck, and epic lore that makes every encounter feel like a journey beyond the usual round-based play, these battles are nothing short of extraordinary. Each Call of Duty Zombies boss fight deserves recognition, but which ones stand out as the cream of the crop?

This list only contains Treyarch’s Call of Duty Zombies boss fights.

7 Sky-Eye

The Eye of Odin That Has Five Stages Onboard the Titanic

  • Featured Game: Black Ops 4
  • Featured Map: Voyage of Despair

The “Voyage of Despair” easter egg in Call of Duty Zombies isn’t an easy feat, making it one of the game’s toughest boss fights once players manage to reach it. Spanning five distinct phases, this battle is complex and challenging. Additionally, it’s peculiar that the final boss is a literal eye, which could be interpreted as the Eye of Odin given the narrative’s affinity for mythology.

The Sky-Eye is incredibly fierce, and its assaults are lethal to the core. Battling the eye using explosives while dodging its destructive sweeps can be thrilling and engaging for players, as they need to manage a constant influx of zombies alongside the eye’s attacks with top-notch weaponry.

6 Avogadro

A Dominant Life Form That Controls Electricity

  • Featured Game: Black Ops 4
  • Featured Map: Alpha Omega

As I dive into Alpha Omega, I must brace myself for an unrelenting boss battle. I stand toe-to-toe with formidable A.D.A.M. Units, and the relentless Avogadro itself, which bombards me with lightning attacks that can swiftly push me to game over in no time.

In simpler terms, the game “Avogadro” confines players within compact chambers, compelling them to accumulate spirit containers in cramped settings that could induce claustrophobia. The main boss room in Avogadro is relatively straightforward since players merely need to fire at it to push it back into the APD. However, its erratic behavior and shocking attacks make it a formidable opponent to confront.

5 The Keeper

A Corrupted Ancient Being Battles Within a Dark Tomb

  • Featured Game: Black Ops 3
  • Featured Map: Der Eisendrache

In the tale of Call of Duty Zombies, the Keepers safeguard profound secrets. However, there’s one that has been tainted by Dark Aether, holding the solution to Primis’ triumph. This corrupted Keeper serves as a massive boss battle during Der Eisendrache, leading players into a chilling, icy arena filled with flames and brimstone. As expected, they encounter skeletal foes charging at them.

In this battleground, the stakes are high, and teamwork becomes crucial as players utilize their tools and dodge behind pillars to evade instant-lethal assaults that would kick them back to the main menu. Navigating both the adversaries and the Keeper’s onslaught while aiming to dismantle it promises an exhilarating response from players at every twist and turn.

4 Fury and Wrath

Zombified Elephants That Dominate the Gladiator’s Arena

  • Featured Game: Black Ops 4
  • Featured Map: XI

Stepping into a massive amphitheater, game XI begins with competitors reveling in the vast expanse of a gladiatorial arena. Its grand size offers plenty of room for players to train their zombies and dodge the boss. The boss is an enormous undead elephant, accompanied by another, angrier undead elephant.

Although zombie elephants won’t attack players simultaneously, the visual appeal alone makes this battle incredibly thrilling. Despite the elephant’s leisurely pace and powerful slam attacks potentially making it a relatively simple boss fight, the encounter is one you’re unlikely to forget easily.

3 Brutus

The Warden of Alcatraz, Stopped Only by Richthofen

  • Featured Game: Black Ops 4
  • Featured Map: Blood of the Dead

In another phrase: The Warden of Alcatraz, dearly respected by the community as Brutus, is unlike any foe you’d encounter. He appeared in Mob of the Dead, causing trouble for the mobsters trying to escape the prison island. To everyone’s astonishment, he reappears in Blood of the Dead, offering players a chance to engage in an extended Easter egg hunt and finally face him in battle.

The battle against the boss isn’t particularly challenging since players primarily engage in battles against Wardens in successive waves, and eventually, a post-Revelations Richtofen appears to eliminate all zombie hazards using his shard from the elemental staff. However, it’s the significance of the Blood of the Dead boss fight that should be highlighted, particularly considering the poignant conclusion of Richtofen’s downfall.

2 Weasel

The Player Must Fight Their Friends to Break the Cycle

  • Featured Game: Black Ops 2
  • Featured Map: Mob of the Dead

In the world of Call of Duty Zombies, this boss fight with Weasel – whether he’s facing off against a single character or battling the three mobsters from the Mob of the Dead crew – is among the earliest and most memorable encounters in the series. Reaching the final stages of the Easter egg isn’t particularly challenging, but engaging in a PvP battle within Call of Duty Zombies is an experience unlike any other, offering immense fun for friends as they compete to prove their strength against each other.

Is it possible for Weasel to outsmart the Mob of the Dead gang and break free from the loop, or will he find himself entangled in deceit once more, perpetuating the cycle? The Mob of the Dead stands as a legendary chapter, brimming with both exhilaration and treachery, as players engage in the struggle against Weasel and his crew.

1 Nikolai Belinski

The Ultimis Drunkard Battles Dragons in a Mech Suit

  • Featured Game: Black Ops 3
  • Featured Map: Gorod Krovi

City of Blood presents a Stalingrad filled with dragons amidst an unending war. Navigating its easter egg is challenging yet rewarding, and being careless in the boss arena could lead to being surrounded by flames since players are battling against a dragon prior to the inebriated Ultimis Nikolai.

In this scenario, Nikolai personally appears in a mechanical suit, unleashing lethal assaults using his weapons, colossal robotic foot, and minions he summons. It’s important to note that without Quick Revive in single-player mode, it results in an immediate defeat. To have any hope of success, players should arm themselves with powerful weaponry.
