In Hytale, players will constantly need to manage their health, dealing with damage and finding ways to recover. While a good meal can provide a quick and gradual health boost, Healing Potions are the fastest way to recover. These potions are relatively simple to make, though gathering the necessary ingredients can be challenging, especially at the beginning of the game before you’ve established reliable resource farms. Bloodcap Mushrooms, in particular, can be difficult to find, but once you learn where to look, collecting enough to make a good supply of potions becomes much easier.
Hytale Bloodcap Mushroom Locations
Bloodcap Mushrooms grow in forests during the autumn season, but they only come out at night. Luckily, they have a bright red glow, making them easy to spot in the dark. Just be prepared to fight off void monsters, which are common at night!
Bloodcap Mushrooms are found in large hive areas within desert environments. Look for sizable, muddy patches covered in oil and bones to find them growing on the surface. Fortunately, Bloodcaps don’t grow underground, which is helpful since those hives are crawling with dangerous, giant insects.
If you’re looking for Bloodcap Mushrooms, the desert can be tricky, so we suggest focusing on forest areas instead. Or, if you need to get around quickly, building a teleporter is a good option. Be careful of Scaraks – they’re dangerous, so it’s best to avoid them if you can.
How to Get Bloodcap Mushroom Seeds
Instead of searching for Bloodcap Mushrooms, you can grow them yourself. To do this, you’ll need to learn the recipe for Bloodcap Mushroom Seeds (or a Bloodcap Spore Bag). You can randomly find this recipe by breaking Bloodcap Mushrooms with any tool – though this won’t give you any mushrooms to use. Keep in mind that you need a Farmer’s Workbench at level 9 or higher to craft the spore bags, so upgrade your workbench first!
What are Bloodcap Mushrooms For?
Bloodcap Mushrooms are key to making powerful Greater Health Potions. You’ll need three mushrooms for each potion, so setting up a farm to grow them is a great idea if you plan on making a lot. These potions are one of the most effective ways to heal in Hytale, restoring up to 75% of your health in just 5 to 6 seconds.
