Binance Supports Orion (ORN) Rebranding into Lumia (LUMIA)

As a seasoned analyst with years of experience in the cryptocurrency market, I have witnessed numerous mainnet swaps and rebrandings. However, the recent announcement by Binance (BNB) supporting Orion (ORN) mainnet transition and rebranding to Lumia (LUMIA) has piqued my interest.

On the global cryptocurrency platform Binance (BNB), there’s been an announcement of support for Orion (ORN)’s mainnet shift, and they’ve also initiated trading for a newly created token called LUMIA which will take over from ORN in its role.

As stated on its official website, the Binance cryptocurrency exchange is set to facilitate the Orion mainnet swap and rebranding to Lumia. This means that at 3:00 a.m. UTC on October 15th, Binance will remove all existing Orion trading pairs (Orn/BTC and Orn/USDT) and void any pending Orion trades.

Later on the same day, in a 30-minute span, Binance announces they’ll halt all ORN token transactions. It would be wise for users to ensure their ORN deposits have been completely processed beforehand to avoid any delays during this timeframe.

As a researcher, I’d like to inform you about some changes coming up on my platform. Binance Spot Copy Trading and trading bots on ORN-based pairs will be terminated on October 14-15. Additionally, delisting from Cross and Isolated Margin is anticipated for October 3. These adjustments are part of our ongoing efforts to optimize and improve the user experience.

Additionally, as of October 9th-10th, the ORN items will no longer be available for participation in the Binance Earn program and loan section of the platform.

On October 11th, all outstanding ORN Flexible Product positions, along with any accumulated rewards, will be automatically credited to users’ spot wallets.

LUMIA/USDT trading pair debuts on Oct. 18

On October 18th at 9:00 a.m. (UTC), Binance will initiate trading for the Lumia/USDT pair. Notably, the ORN tokens on Binance (BNB) will now be known as Lumia tokens, and all existing ORN tokens will be exchanged for an equal amount of Lumia tokens.

Binance will take care of all the technical aspects for users participating in the highly anticipated mainnet transition event.

After the event concludes, affected users on Binance Simple Earn will be automatically re-enrolled in the Flexible Product for their LUMIA assets, using the specified swap ratio.

After the event concludes, Binance will provide a separate update to inform users once the withdrawal option for LUMIA becomes available.
