This post contains spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen.
Since Jujutsu Kaisen first aired, anime fans have consistently praised its high quality. Many appreciate its fantastic animation and compelling story. However, these aren’t the only reasons why Jujutsu Kaisen stands out among newer action anime.
Beyond the reasons already mentioned, Jujutsu Kaisen boasts a truly exceptional cast of characters. What makes the series special is that almost every important character feels unique and well-developed – a quality you don’t often see. Creator Gege Akutami clearly invested a lot of effort into crafting these characters, and the result is a group that’s consistently compelling. It’s natural, then, that only the main characters receive particularly detailed attention, like Yuta Okkotsu.
Yuta Okkotsu Will Be A Key Player In The Culling Game
Yuta Okkotsu is the central character in Jujutsu Kaisen 0, a movie that tells his story before the events of the main series. The film reveals key details about Yuta, including how he came to be with Rika Orimoto, and explains his connection to curses. If you haven’t started watching Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 yet, it’s best to watch JJK 0 first. It provides essential background on Yuta – his past, his relationships, and how he became a powerful sorcerer – that you won’t get otherwise.
The first two episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 establish Yuta Okkotsu as a key player in the Culling Game. He and Yuji are focused on finding Angel, a powerful sorcerer who can remove cursed techniques – a skill vital to saving Gojo Satoru. But finding Angel won’t be easy, so Yuta needs to be prepared for a tough journey. Luckily, he’s a formidable fighter and rarely faces opponents who can truly challenge him.
Yuta Okkotsu’s Cursed Technique Is Extremely Overpowered
- Yuta Okkotsu has a ton of cursed energy
- His cursed technique allows him to copy other innate skills
Yuta Okkotsu’s powers revolve around Rika, a very powerful cursed spirit. Rika came into being because of the deep love Rika Orimoto had for Yuta, and she remained as a spirit even after her death. At first, Yuta struggled to control Rika’s unpredictable behavior, but his training has helped a lot. Now, Rika usually obeys him. However, she still sometimes acts independently, attacking anyone she perceives as a danger to Yuta.
Rika is a very powerful cursed spirit, possessing a large amount of cursed energy, which greatly helps Yuta. He can summon her whenever he needs assistance in a fight – she can attack opponents, protect him from attacks, or even restrain enemies so he can easily defeat them.
I’m absolutely fascinated by Yuta’s cursed technique, Copycat! It’s incredible – basically, because of Rika, he can replicate any technique from someone whose body parts she’s consumed. Seriously, it’s unbelievably powerful and could make him nearly unstoppable in a fight. I’m especially excited to see how he uses it when he heads to the colonies to battle other sorcerers. He’s going to be collecting all sorts of new abilities, and I think that’s going to be crucial when it comes to facing off against Kenjaku or anyone else who threatens the world!
Yuta’s Cursed Technique Is Invaluable
Yuta’s Copycat ability is incredibly powerful, capable of turning the course of a fight. Beyond just fighting, he can also use it to learn helpful natural skills that can heal or defend both himself and his teammates.
Now that Gojo Satoru is gone, Yuta Okkotsu faces immense pressure to succeed in protecting humanity from Kenjaku and Sukuna. Without his help, Yuji and the other heroes have almost no hope of winning this ongoing battle.
