As a devoted fan who has spent countless hours battling and collecting Pokemon in UNITE, I find myself disheartened by the recent announcement that the game will no longer be available in Belgium and the Netherlands. The thought of losing access to this exciting multiplayer experience is akin to taking away my morning coffee – it’s just not right!
By November 30, 2025, the creators of Pokemon UNITE have chosen to discontinue their services in both Belgium and the Netherlands.
Starting next year, service for Pokemon UNITE will be discontinued in Belgium and the Netherlands. After November 30, 2025, it won’t be possible to download the game on mobile devices (iOS and Android) or the Nintendo Switch. Additionally, the purchase of in-game items like Aeos Coins and Subscriptions will no longer be available after October 31, 2024. It is recommended that players “exhaust all in-game items” before the respective end dates.
Effective from October 31, 2024, you won’t be able to buy in-game items like Aeos Gems and subscriptions for #PokemonUNITE within the Netherlands and Belgium on mobile devices or Nintendo Switch. For further details, kindly refer to the provided link.

Why is Pokemon UNITE Ending Service in Belgium and the Netherlands
The Pokemon UNITE announcement does not clarify the reasons for discontinuing services in certain countries. It’s thought that potential restrictions on loot boxes in Belgium and the Netherlands might be the cause. As per a GamesIndustry.Biz report, Belgium has already prohibited loot boxes, while the Netherlands is aiming to do so as well.
Pokemon UNITE Fans Express Disappointment
Fans of Pokemon UNITE are voicing their dissatisfaction over recent decisions in the game’s social media posts. Following the announcement, discussions about the ‘September Rayquaza Cup’ and ‘Tournament Premium Pass’ have been overwhelmed with comments from players urging the developers to eliminate loot boxes and reconsider their decision to discontinue service in Belgium and the Netherlands. So far, the developers have not responded.
Hey there, as a passionate gamer, I’m urging you to reconsider your choice to discontinue the game in Netherlands and Belgium. The lootbox system, which seems more like a predatory scheme, is not something we’re on board with. We enjoy the gameplay, but these loot boxes are crossing the line by making it feel like gambling, and that’s not cool with us. Let’s keep the gaming experience fun and fair!
