In Season 8 of Invasion Mode within Mortal Kombat 1, six Mesas hold numerous sealed gates that players must unlock. Some of these block the route to the Mesa’s final boss, while others obstruct access to a post-game area featuring difficult battles and attractive prizes.
To access the final area, you’ll need the divine Key of Krown, a special item. On the other hand, the boss doors can be opened using another hidden key item scattered across the Mesa. This guide details the locations of all key items in Season 8 of Invasions, complete with maps to help Mortal Kombat 1 players discover them.
How to Get the Krown of a God in Mortal Kombat 1
To seize the Divine Crown, one must vanquish The Ominous Dragon, the final adversary in Season 8’s Invasions Mode. Unlike past bosses in this mode, defeating this Liu Kang version is generally manageable, except for a tricky phase involving dodging projectiles at the start of the third round. However, players can bypass this challenge by employing the Translucent Shield Consumable, an item available for purchase from the Gateway Portal store that renders users invulnerable to all incoming projectiles during their next confrontation.
Where to Find Every Key Item in Invasions Mode Season 8
All of the key items in Season 8 of Invasions are acquired by beating mini-bosses, most of which stand directly between the player and the Mesa’s final boss. The only exception is the fight against the Scorpion mini-boss in the Tarkatan Colony, which is tucked away near the shop on the far right side of the map. This should come as a welcome change for most players, with some of the previous seasons of Invasions Mode locking their key items behind Nodes that were labeled optional, which some found to be a little confusing.
