Performance Artist Walkthrough – Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

Performance Artist Walkthrough - Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the automaton mechanic in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is a delightful addition to the series. The quest line for the Performance Artist! automaton, specifically, was an intriguing and engaging diversion from the main story.

In the game “Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom“, an automaton, which can be unlocked once you’ve interacted with Dampe, becomes accessible. After assisting Dampe with his initial side quest, you can embark on three quests to acquire additional automatons. One of these quests, named “Performance Artist!”, grants you a robotic creature called Gizmol. While Gizmol may not be as effective in battle compared to the level 3 Echoes you can master, it is essential for a later side quest. If your goal is to increase your heart containers within “Echoes of Wisdom“, then completing “Performance Artist!” at some point during your gameplay is advisable.

How to Unlock Gizmol

To kick off your adventure as a Performance Artist, first, you should finish the side quest named “Automaton Engineer Dampe”. You can locate Dampe north of Hyrule Ranch if you’ve completed the story quest “Still Missing”. Defeat the crow to obtain the Clockwork Key and then visit Dampe’s Studio, which is situated west of Jabul Waters/the River Zora village. Speak with Dampe at his studio, and he’ll ask for a Mothula Echo and a Tektite Echo. Once you have these, you can construct the Techtite automaton. Later, peruse Dampe’s journal to discover three additional side quests; among them is “Performance Artist!”.

Prismatic Music Box Location in Echoes of Wisdom

To finish the quest “Performance Artist!”, locate Dampe and present him with a Zol Echo, then discover an object that produces a pleasant melody. The mission offers a clue that this melodious sound can be heard at Hyrule Ranch. To obtain the item that creates the melodic sound (Prismatic Music Box), you’ll need Zelda’s horse, Impa’s Gift. Afterward, speak to the woman near the house to participate in the Flag Race. If you successfully finish the Middle Course in less than 25 seconds, she will reward you with a Prismatic Music Box.

As a gamer, I can’t just summon the Prismatic Music Box like an Echo for Dampe. Instead, I should approach him and pick “I want an automaton.” Then, choose “performance artist” to exchange it. I have to repeat this process for the next three automaton requests that require the Golden Fan and Heirloom Katana.

After you’ve given Dampe the music box and summoned the Zol Echo, you’ll receive the Gizmol.

An Out-There Zol Side Quest

If you’ve finished the side quest named “A Curious Child,” you can begin another side quest called “An Out-There Zol.” Head to Hyrule Castle Town, locate the boy standing outside a house in the southwestern corner, and speak with him. If he has encountered Ignizol, Hydrozol, and Zol previously, there will be a marker above his head signifying an available quest. Speak to him again to initiate “An Out-There Zol.” To activate the Gizmol automaton needed to complete this quest, press the ‘left’ button on the directional pad, then select Gizmol from the options. The reward for completing “An Out-There Zol” is a Heart Piece.
