In the game Cult of the Lamb, players take on the role of a leader who needs to care for their followers. If the Lamb doesn’t provide enough food and healthcare, the flock might become unhappy, get sick, or even starve.
The new branching feature in the Cult of the Lamb Woolhaven DLC should make things easier, since the animals provide followers with additional resources.
How To Unlock Ranching In Cult Of The Lamb Woolhaven DLC
To begin ranching in the Cult of the Lamb Woolhaven DLC, you need to advance in Woolhaven until you obtain the Wool of the Rancher. Then, bury this wool to unlock Baraq.
Next, find two Charged Shards in Ewefall.
Afterward, he will ask for two Cursed Yewbark from The Rot.
Consecrate the materials into one Pure Yewbark, then repair his ranch.
How To Build A Ranch In Cult Of The Lamb Woolhaven DLC
This will unlock the Ranch, and Baraq will also give you an animal to start.
Okay, so first you need to put the Ranch building down. Then, the key is to connect it with a fence – you just need to run the fence from one of the yellow squares all the way to the other! It’s pretty straightforward once you get started.
Once done, place the Baby Yakish you got from Baraq.
Feed, pet, and take it on a walk to raise its level, and wait one day for it to grow up.
Once it’s an adult, shear its Wool.
How To Get More Animals In Cult Of The Lamb Woolhaven DLC
So, if you want to unlock more animals in the Woolhaven DLC for Cult of the Lamb, you gotta take Wool to Baraq. Doing that opens up his quest board, and that’s how you get new critters!
Complete quests on the quest board to unlock new animals, such as Llamaish and Cowish.
How To Assign Followers To Take Care Of Animals
At first, you’ll need to look after the animals yourself. You can only have your followers help with animal care and cleaning once you’ve unlocked the Ranch II building.
How To Butcher Animals In Cult Of The Lamb Woolhaven DLC
Other than the normal interactions, the animals can be harvested in various ways:
- Assign them to the Butcher’s Block.
- Harvest them when they die. They can die naturally of old age, too.
- Ascend them when they have a halo on their head.
How To Feed Animals In Cult Of The Lamb Woolhaven DLC
Animals need to be fed regularly to avoid starvation. You can give them any of the food choices, but each animal prefers something different. You can figure out what each one likes by trying out various foods. However, it takes time to test preferences with the ranch animals, so it’s not always practical.
When your pet eats their favorite food, a heart will appear on screen. Next time you offer them food, it will be marked with a heart, so you don’t have to remember what it is!
Later, you can also build a Trough, so the animals can feed themselves.
How To Breed Animals In Cult Of The Lamb Woolhaven DLC
You can breed animals while they’re housed together in a Hutch. They don’t need to be the same species, but breeding different species will cost your Lamb a Sin.
Wolf Attack In Cult Of The Lamb Woolhaven DLC
Once you build a Ranch in the Woolhaven DLC for Cult of the Lamb, wolves will start attacking your animals, and you’ll need to defend them.
Followers may also have traits that make them fight wolves when they attack.
Later, you can use Wolf Trap and place a meat to bait them into the trap.
This helps reduce the chance of your animals getting attacked.
