All Main Story Missions in No Rest for the Wicked

Despite its bright, cartoon-like appearance, No Rest for the Wicked takes place in a grim and frightening fantasy world. Players will witness all the horrors of the cursed island of Sacra, including brutal raiders and terrifyingly mutated creatures. The game features beautiful environments and a complex story spread across diverse areas, so paying attention to every quest is key to fully experiencing everything Sacra has to offer. Here’s a quick guide to help you along the way.

All Main Missions in No Rest for the Wicked

Currently, No Rest for the Wicked is still being developed as an early access game. The full story isn’t available yet, with only 6 main quests and 5 side quests playable at this time.

Main Quests Side Quests
  1. Sacrament
  2. Servant of God
  3. Of Rats and Raiders
  4. The Weeping Sisters
  5. Roots That Bind
  6. Faith and Flame
  1. A Small Mercy
  2. Spilled Blood
  3. Spoken and Unspoken
  4. The Potion Seller
  5. The Innkeeper’s Husband

Where Should You Start?

All players begin with the “Sacrament” quest. You’ll get it by talking to the ship captain who is injured near where the game starts. This quest will guide you to the town of Sacrament, which serves as the central hub for No Rest for the Wicked.

Once you finish the Sacra questline, the game opens up with more choices. You’ll have several new areas to explore and some side quests to try. The next main quest, “Servant of God,” can be quite challenging if your character isn’t strong enough. If you’re around level 6, it’s best to complete some other tasks first, as this quest takes place in an area designed for levels 8-11.

Side Quests and XP Farming

Both “Of Rats and Raiders” and “Servant of God” become available at the same time, and completing them unlocks access to a more challenging area. You’ll begin by battling raiders in Orban Glade, then venture into the Black Trench – the sewers beneath the city of Sacrament.

Just a heads-up: the ‘Of Rats and Raiders’ area is designed for players level 15 and up. If you’re not quite that strong yet, you might want to take a break from the quest and level up a bit first. Here’s what we suggest you do:

  1. Complete bounties for Captain Randolph in Sacrament
  2. Do the other side quests first
  3. Dive into the Crucible for loot

Randolph’s Bounties

As a fan, I’m really excited about the Daily and Weekly Bounties the guard captain in Sacrament offers! They’re a great way to earn loot, experience, and some extra money. The daily ones seem pretty manageable, but the weekly bounties definitely give you a bit more of a challenge, which is fun!

Other Side Quests

The other side quests are shorter and easier than ‘Of Rats and Raiders,’ so it’s a good idea to complete them first to level up faster.

  1. The Innkeeper’s Husband will take you back to the Mariner’s Keep in search of Gordon, the town chef.
  2. The Potion Seller will have you cave diving for Iona Blooms. Completing this will unlock Markos, an alchemist who sells potions.
  3. Spilled Blood isn’t a quest per se — just think of it as a reminder to use Plague Ichors to expand your inventory.
  4. Spoken and Unspoken serves as an introduction to the Crucible activity.

The Crucible

The Crucible is a challenging game mode where you can earn loot and experience, and also see how well your character and abilities perform. Reaching the sixth floor brings you to the Seneschal’s chamber, where you’ll find three chests filled with rewards. Once upgraded, the Seneschal itself becomes a shop, offering unique items you can’t find anywhere else.

Okay, so The Crucible is tied into the Spoken and Unspoken questline, which is cool. But the biggest thing for me is that it’s where I can totally redo my character’s skills and abilities – basically, respec if I messed up my build!
