Fans will find that the increased presence of characters like Angela and Oscar after Michael’s departure feels more natural, as these scenes were originally filmed but cut to prioritize the main storylines of Michael, Dwight, Jim, and Pam.

The Superfan Episodes Can Finally Fix The Office Season 9‘s Mistakes

While the Superfan Episodes don’t alter the original story, the re-edited versions of Seasons 6 and 8 clearly show that a lot of excellent footage was cut. Adding back these deleted scenes makes The Office: Superfan Episodes of Seasons 6 and 8 even funnier than what originally aired, and includes key context and character development that should have been included. Season 8, especially, is improved by these additions, giving us a more complete understanding of Andy and Robert California, and adding more laughs throughout.

As a huge fan of The Office, I always felt Season 9 didn’t quite live up to the show’s incredible standards, mostly because of all the drama with Jim and Pam. But I’m so excited about the Superfan Episodes for that season! They seem like they’ll finally give us a better understanding of why Jim started Athlead without telling Pam, what was going on with Pam and Brian, and even explain why Andy acted the way he did when Erin started liking Plop. Honestly, I think these episodes have the potential to really fill in the gaps and make the ending of The Office feel as satisfying as the rest of the series.
