NateTheHate shared on social media that a remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica is officially in the works and well underway. He also indicated when Capcom plans to release the game.

We’ve been hearing about a possible remake of Code: Veronica for a while now, with talk starting as early as 2024. The latest rumors indicate that an announcement could come this year, with the game potentially releasing in 2027.

Resident Evil Code: Veronica originally came out in February 2000 for the Sega Dreamcast. When the Dreamcast was discontinued, the game was updated and released as Resident Evil Code: Veronica X on the PlayStation 2 in 2001 and the Nintendo GameCube in 2003. More recently, it became available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011.
