How to Get Your Stuff After Dying in The Forever Winter
Upon your demise, you’ll return to The Innards. To regain your lost equipment, it would be best if you revisit the location where you last perished. Feel free to choose a new entry point if you wish. Remember to stock up on healing supplies and ammunition for your journey back. When you reach the area of your death, a tombstone icon on your compass will guide you to the exact spot. Good luck!
At the location marked on the map, you’ll spot your missing equipment lying on the ground. To retrieve it, simply press the key assigned as your interact key (which can be different for some players). After recovering your gear, your goal is to reach an extraction point to bring all of your items back home. Keep in mind that dying after picking up your gear will force you to return here, so try to avoid that if possible.
Each time you perish in the game, only one batch of misplaced equipment gets saved. If you don’t recover that gear before dying again, it will be gone forever. Additionally, leaving an area without reclaiming your lost gear also means it vanishes permanently. So, make sure to retrieve it on your next adventure or risk losing it for good.
