As a seasoned adventurer who has braved countless dungeons and faced formidable foes in the realm of Hyrule, I can confidently say that the hunt for the elusive Darknut Lv. 3 Echo in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is a challenge that will test even the most skilled of Link’s abilities. The journey to this powerful ally begins in the Faron Wetlands, where one must navigate through treacherous ruins filled with Armos and Beamos, and scale towering rock walls.
In the game “Echoes of Wisdom,” one of the initial monster-derived Echoes is called the Darknut Echo. Since it’s one of the first Echoes you’ll encounter, you might desire the Darknut Lv. 3. Unlike the regular Darknut and Darknut Lv. 2, which can be found in the game’s dungeons, you’ll need to navigate a cave located in the eastern Faron Wetlands to obtain Darknut Lv. 3. This tough opponent can easily overpower your weaker Echoes or even Zelda herself if you’re not cautious. Overcoming the Darknut Lv. 3 will also yield a valuable reward, making it worth seeking out whether or not you plan on using it in combat.

How to Get Darknut Lv. 3 Echo
Check your map, focusing on the southeastern region to locate the Faron Wetlands – a place you’ll eventually reach, so it’s wise to familiarize yourself with it now. Look for a spot called Scrubton, situated in the central-upper part of Faron Wetlands. From Scrubton’s Smoothie Shop, head towards the east direction to find some ruins. An entrance in the wall will lead you into these ruins, where a Level 3 Darknut resides. Ensure you have either Level 2 Echoes or Wizzrobe Echoes before venturing in, as they’ll be helpful in the battle to master the Darknut’s Echo.
Upon entering, you’ll discover a room featuring five distinct pathways, each safeguarded by mechanical creatures known as Armos. These Armos become active when you approach them closely, but you can manipulate them without harm using Tri’s Binding Ability (X-button). Additionally, be mindful of the damaged blocks scattered across the pathway floors; a touch will cause them to collapse, so tread carefully. To access a hidden ladder, reposition the second Armos from the left by moving it slightly. Once moved, this Armos can be eliminated by pushing it into the void.
If you haven’t obtained the Armos Echo yet, here’s a strategy to learn it: Use Tri’s Bind Ability and have Zelda draw an Armos towards her. Once turned around, its weak spot will be exposed on its back. Attack this bright blue area with your Echoes or Swordfighter Mode. If you prefer not to learn the Armos manually, you can acquire it through the “A Rift in the Faron Wetlands” story quest instead.
In an adjoining room, you’ll encounter a massive rock wall that can be scaled. There are also devices resembling Beamos positioned near the wall, which aim to harm Zelda as she ascends. Unlike Armos, Beamos can only be defeated by striking their solitary eye. However, true to their name, they’ll fire a beam at you if they detect your presence. You’ll need to act swiftly to stun them; use an Echo like the Crow or Keese. At this stage, Tri should have increased power, enabling you to send a swarm of Crows/Keese at the Beamos. When a Beamos is hit, it will transform into stone. To completely vanquish it, utilize a Bombfish or the Swordfighter Mode’s Bombs.
Ascend the towering cliff face until you reach the summit, then traverse along the crimson rungs. Encounter another series of rocky outcrops leading to a novel chamber. Proceed to the farthest point in the third room to encounter Darknut Level 3. Prepare for combat as it’ll charge at you once spotted.
At its usual pace, the Level 3 Darknut is similar to other Darknuts, but it boasts a more extended spinning attack. You can challenge it by engaging two typical Darknuts or, if available, a Level 3 Echo character like the Sword Moblin. Additionally, skills related to sword fighting such as the bow might be beneficial. Fortunately, the Level 3 Darknut isn’t as swift as most in-game enemies, so maintaining a safe distance from Zelda should help you avoid any trouble.
Successfully overcoming Level 3 Darknut for the very first time triggers the emergence of a treasure chest. Contained within is the Spin Brace.

How Much Power to Summon Darknut Lv. 3
As a devoted fan, I’d express it like this: “To unleash the might of the Level 3 Darknut, I need five pieces of Tri’s power when my character is below level 6. However, once Tri reaches level 6, the cost drops to a single triangle for each summon. It’s important to note that you can only have one Level 3 Darknut at a time; yet, by reaching level 4, I can also call forth an additional regular Darknut, requiring two triangles.
