Riot Games’ 2XKO is a really addictive team-based fighting game. With the launch of Season 1’s Battle Pass alongside the full game, it’s become a popular choice for both casual fun and practicing your fighting skills.

Players can now participate in a new event called the Caitlyn Champion Recruitment Event, and earn stickers and cosmetics through the Battle Pass. Here’s a breakdown of the Caitlyn event in 2XKO and how to complete it efficiently.

2XKO Caitlyn Champion Recruitment Event, Explained

Get Caityn For Free

The Caitlyn Champion Recruitment Event is the first event held since the game officially launched, and it’s a chance for players to get the new champion, Caitlyn, the Sheriff of Piltover, for free. This character is skilled with rifles and can defeat enemies both up close with kicks and slams, and from a distance by targeting their vulnerabilities, making her a strong choice in battles.

To participate in the Caitlyn Champion Recruitment Event, just play matches in the Play section. You’ll earn progress towards unlocking Caitlyn for free in 2XKO by gaining 10,000 XP and finishing all of her recruitment challenges.

Don’t focus too much on playing regular matches, as they don’t give many experience points. The fastest way to progress in the event is by completing missions during matches – things like dealing damage or healing teammates. You can find details on these missions in the Missions Tab. The event will be live from January 22nd to February 19th, 2026. Once the event ends, you’ll be able to unlock Caitlyn like any other champion by spending 10,000 Green Credits.

To quickly unlock Caitlyn in 2XKO, complete all three Season 1 Featured Missions, three Weekly Missions, and three Daily Missions every day for a week. This will earn you the 10,000 XP required to get her.

Other Methods to Unlock Caitlyn in 2XKO

Good news for those of us who don’t have tons of time! Even if you can’t fully complete the Champion Recruitment Event, you can still get Caitlyn in 2XKO by doing these things:

  • 1 Champion Token (If you haven’t used your Season 1 free token yet, now’s the perfect time)
  • 1,000 KO Points (Paid currency, best for pay-to-win players)
  • Ultra Battle Pass Upgrade (Costs 3,500 KO Points)

It might be easy to skip this event, but we suggest completing it. You’ll get 10,000 XP from the missions, plus 10,000 Green Credits, which you can use to unlock a new champion for your team. That means you could end up with two new fighters instead of just one!
