Kota Furushima, who directed the game Beast of Reincarnation, recently discussed the frequent criticism Game Freak receives regarding the graphics and performance of its 3D open-world games.
Game Freak, the studio behind Pokémon, is known for creating popular games. While Pokémon is widely loved, its games haven’t always pushed the limits of gaming technology, and some recent titles have had performance issues. However, their new game, Beast of Reincarnation, appears to be a much more polished and technically impressive experience.
Game Freak Prioritizes Creating Experiences
In a recent IGN interview, Kota Furushima responded to the criticism, explaining that their main goal is always to deliver a fresh and original experience, rather than simply meeting a specific quality standard.
We’re really focused on how the game feels to play. While making sure it runs smoothly is important, our main goal is to deliver our creative vision and connect with players on an emotional level.
I was really excited to hear him talk about the game’s setting! He said it’s all about natural environments and heavily inspired by Japan, which sounds amazing. And the music? He described it as exploring feelings of loneliness and being on your own, but also how important it is to connect with others and learn to depend on them. It sounds like it’s going to be a really emotional experience!
Get ready for Beast of Reincarnation, coming this summer! You can find details about the game here. Also, there’s been some interesting news and leaks about the upcoming Pokémon Wind and Wave – check that out too.
