World Championship Wrestling, or WCW, emerged as a serious challenger to the then-World Wrestling Federation (WWF), attracting popular stars like Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and Kevin Nash. The competition between WWF’s Monday Night Raw and WCW’s Monday Nitro became known as the “Monday Night War,” as both companies fought to be number one. WWE 2K26 is Bringing Back the Monday Night War

On Saturday, January 24th, 2K Games unveiled the Monday Night War Edition of WWE 2K26 with a new trailer. The trailer showcased iconic wrestlers from that era, including “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock, and Hulk Hogan. The game’s cover art features a split design highlighting stars from both WWE and WCW during the Monday Night War. While the specific bonuses for buying the Monday Night War Edition haven’t been announced, pre-orders will open on January 30th, and the game is expected to be released in March.

2K hasn’t revealed much about WWE 2K26 yet, but the announcement of a Monday Night War Edition suggests the game will heavily feature the late 1990s and early 2000s era of wrestling. Along with the previously announced Attitude Era Edition, this could mean iconic events from that time period will be included.
