Vice President of Rainbow 6, Cameron Lee, Has Left Ubisoft

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, having witnessed the rise and fall of many gaming legends, I must admit that Cameron Lee’s departure from Ubisoft and the Rainbow 6 franchise has left me somewhat perplexed. This man, who has graced the halls of giants such as EA, Bungie, BioWare, and Activision, bringing us iconic titles like Tony Hawk, Call of Duty, and Dragon Age, now finds himself stepping away from a new challenge.

The Vice President of the Rainbow 6 franchise, Cameron Lee, has left the franchise and Ubisoft.

Cameron Lee came aboard the Rainbow 6 team in April 2022, transitioning from his role as Vice President of Production at Activision. Prior to this position, he had amassed more than two decades worth of experience working as a producer, manager, and VP for companies like EA, Bungie, and BioWare. His impressive resume includes contributions to popular franchises such as Tony Hawk, Call of Duty, and Dragon Age.

After the announcement that he’s joining the Rainbow 6 series, Ubisoft stated that Lee will oversee the development of the Rainbow Six brand’s long-term strategy and work closely with all internal teams to ensure collaboration and alignment.

It’s uncertain what led Lee to part ways with the franchise and corporation, but a memo distributed to employees indicates that the position of Vice President and Executive Producer for the Rainbow Six brand won’t be filled temporarily.

TopMob asked Ubisoft for comment on Lee’s departure but has not received a comment.
