As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation upon hearing the roadmap for City 20. Having survived countless apocalypses in virtual worlds, I’ve developed an uncanny knack for navigating dystopian landscapes and making tough decisions that would make any real-life survivalist cower in fear.
The creators at Untold Games have unveiled a timeline for future developments of their post-apocalyptic, open-world survival game, City 20, which is now available in early access. Expect new features and updates all the way from this month until February 2025!
At Untold Games, we’re excited to share that our dystopian life sim will receive frequent content upgrades, roughly every one-to-two months. With each update, you’ll discover an assortment of fresh elements such as missions, improvements, and fixes. In the coming months, inhabitants of City 20 can anticipate advancements in NPC intelligence, making them more lifelike, enhancements to faction security for more efficient concealment and protection of items, and the introduction of potentially hazardous radioactive zones.

City 20 is an immersive, dystopian simulation game that employs intricate mathematical models to depict life in a post-apocalyptic walled city. Players will embark on a challenging journey of survival, navigating harsh environments, making difficult societal choices, and interacting with organized factions.
Every player’s adventure within the city will be unique, since every decision you make influences multiple elements of the world in a chain reaction, creating an intricate and interconnected game environment. This results in a gameplay experience that is entirely procedural, with each aspect of the game – from the city’s infrastructure, social interactions, to the surrounding ecosystem – being affected by these complex systems.
Initially, upon the game’s debut, players will delve into approximately ten hours worth of content, traversing City 20, encountering its inhabitants, and examining the local ecosystem. This environment initially houses a collection of animal species, whose behaviors will evolve in response to player interactions.
City 20 is out now on PC via early access on Steam and Epic Games Store.
