FF7R Side Quest List: All Odd Jobs

The side quests in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, called ‘Odd Jobs’, vary quite a bit. Some are quick and simple, offering small rewards. However, others are important – you won’t want to miss them if you’re aiming for better gear, Materia, and experience, especially if you plan to play on hard mode.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake features a total of 26 side quests. While some are more enjoyable than others, not every chapter has them – a few sections of the game focus solely on the main story and defeating Shinra. Here’s a complete list of all the side quests and the rewards you’ll receive for finishing them.

You’ll find optional side quests in the larger areas of chapters 3, 8, 9, and 14. These are shown as green markers on your map. Sometimes, you’ll need to talk to a character or finish a different quest first before a side quest becomes available.

If you finish a chapter but haven’t completed all the side quests, you can still go back and do them. After beating the game, use the Chapter Select feature to complete any remaining objectives.

Okay, so about Chapter 9 – things get really different depending on who you’re trying to romance! If I’m going for Madam M or Sam, I’ll get totally different Odd Jobs. And getting to either of their routes? It’s a bit tricky! It all comes down to the choices I make in conversations, a little bit of luck with a coin toss, and… well, the kind of massage I decide to get. It’s wild!

Depending on which path you take with Madam M, you’ll receive different quest rewards. If you follow her route, you’ll get ‘The Price of Thievery’ and ‘Shears’ Counterattack.’ Otherwise, you’ll receive ‘A Dynamite Body’ and ‘The Party Never Stops.’ The rewards themselves are generally the same, except ‘The Price of Thievery’ includes a ‘Real Calling Card’ which isn’t available in ‘The Party Never Stops.’ This card doesn’t have any practical use, but you can view it in the ‘Key Items’ section of your inventory menu.
