If you’re a Steam player looking for free games, you have until January 29th to get “Along the Edge.” Steam frequently offers games for free, letting users build up their game library without spending any money. While some free games aren’t particularly exciting, it’s a great way to discover new and interesting titles you might have missed.
Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know there are a couple of cool free games on Steam right now! I noticed Cursedland is free until February 1st, and Kiki is free until January 31st. If you haven’t heard of them, Cursedland is a funny and pretty tough 2D platformer. Kiki is a 3D platformer where you have to dodge a lot of obstacles as you go through the levels. If you’re into platformers like I am, definitely grab both while they’re free! And if you’re looking to try something new, it’s worth checking out what else Steam is offering for free right now.
New Steam Game is Free Until January 29
- Along the Edge (until January 29 at 12:00pm CST)
Steam is offering the visual novel Along the Edge for free until January 29th at noon Central Time. Unlike other recent free games like Cursedland and Kiki, which are platformers, Along the Edge focuses on story and character. It follows Daphne, a woman who moves to rural France after a difficult time, only to discover she’s descended from a family of witches. The game features romantic possibilities and a story that changes based on your choices. Players and critics alike have given Along the Edge high marks, especially praising its beautiful art and compelling story. If you enjoy visual novels, be sure to grab this one before the offer ends!
Steam users are enjoying a lot of free games right now, with recent additions like Cursedland, Kiki, and Along the Edge. If you’re a PC gamer and don’t mind looking beyond Steam, you can find even more free titles – the Epic Games Store is especially popular for its weekly giveaways.
For a limited time – until 10:00 AM Central Time on January 29th – you can get the medieval action game Rustler for free on the Epic Games Store. While Rustler, which is similar to older Grand Theft Auto games, received mixed reviews, it could be fun to play, especially since it’s free. And if you enjoy crime-themed games, you won’t have to wait long for another one! On January 29th, Rustler will be replaced by Definitely Not Fried Chicken, a game where you run a fried chicken restaurant…that’s actually a cover for a drug operation, much like the show Breaking Bad.
Man, last holiday season was amazing for free games! Between the Epic Games Store’s daily freebies and all the stuff Steam was giving away, it was a gamer’s dream. Usually, things would slow down by now, but it’s still going strong! Right now, I can grab Along the Edge, Cursedland, and Kiki on Steam, and Epic’s giving away Rustler with Definitely Not Fried Chicken coming up next. It’s going to be cool to see if this keeps up throughout 2026, but honestly, the year is already starting off fantastic for free games!
