Nintendo has announced that Virtual Boy games are coming to Nintendo Switch Online in February.
These games will be accessible to players who have a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership. You’ll be able to play them on both the original Nintendo Switch and the new Nintendo Switch 2 console.
Beginning February 17th, players will have access to seven games: Galactic Pinball, 3-D Tetris, Teleroboxer, Virtual Boy Wario Land, The Mansion of Innsmouth, Golf, and Red Alarm. Later in 2026, even more titles will be added, including Mario Tennis, Mario Clash, Space Invaders Virtual Collection, Jack Bros, Virtual Bowling, Vertical Force, V-Tetris, and two previously unreleased games: D-Hopper and Zero Racer.
To play the games, you’ll need one of two accessories: the $100 Virtual Boy for Nintendo Switch 2/Switch, or the $25 cardboard model. Plus, you’ll need an active Nintendo Switch Online membership to get either accessory.
Later this year, owners of the Virtual Boy will have the option to change the colors displayed in their games by swapping out the lenses.
