PlayStation and San Diego Studio have officially announced that MLB The Show 26 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on March 17, 2026. Along with the release date, they revealed that New York Yankees player Aaron Judge will be featured on the game’s cover.
Major League Baseball and PlayStation have been closely linked for nearly three decades. It started with the release of MLB Pennant Race for the original PlayStation in 1996, and a new baseball game has been released every year since. These games have generally been well-received by critics and continue to be commercially successful for PlayStation. As of October 2025, MLB The Show 25 is the second best-selling game in the entire series, according to data from Circana’s Mat Piscatella.
