The Granolah arc in Dragon Ball Super was a hit with fans, mainly because of its compelling story. It explored the history of the Saiyans and deeply impacted the arc’s central characters, especially Vegeta. Throughout the story, Vegeta was forced to confront the violent history of his race and his own personal journey.
Vegeta’s proudest moment arguably arrived when he unlocked Ultra Ego, a transformation granting him the immense power of the Destroyer Gods – finally putting him on equal footing with Goku’s Ultra Instinct. Despite this incredible achievement, the form isn’t fully mastered, meaning several characters in the Dragon Ball universe remain more powerful than him.
Gohan Beast Doesn’t Have The Same Limitations As Ultra Ego
A Form Born From Unlimited Potential
- Gohan’s ultimate state.
During the Super Hero storyline, Gohan unlocks his hidden potential, becoming as strong as his father and the most powerful beings in the universe. He uses this power to defeat Cell Max and even holds his own against Goku while sparring, demonstrating a comparable level of strength when Goku is in his Ultra Instinct form.
Some fans believe Ultra Ego Vegeta is stronger than Gohan Beast because Vegeta’s attacks are more powerful than any other mortal, thanks to the Energy of Destruction. While that’s true, Gohan Beast is actually more consistent and doesn’t need to be hit to increase his power. This means Gohan would likely win in a fight between the two.
Goku’s Ultra Instinct Is Far More Refined Than Ultra Ego
The Ultimate Technique
- Goku uses the technique of the Angels.
Okay, I know this might be a bit controversial, especially considering how things played out in the Granolah arc, but I truly believe Ultra Instinct is just a more polished transformation than Ultra Ego. Sure, Ultra Ego had a really impressive fight against Granolah and unleashed some unbelievable power, but it just didn’t seem sustainable. It felt like it burned through energy way too quickly, whereas Ultra Instinct felt much more controlled and efficient overall.
Ultra Instinct is special because it automatically dodges attacks, letting the user focus entirely on attacking. Ultra Ego, on the other hand, relies on taking damage to become stronger. Right now, though, Ultra Ego doesn’t protect the user from that damage, meaning they end up hurt and it’s not very effective.
Granolah Even Overpowered Ultra Ego In Their Fight
A Powerful Foe
- Unlocked an even stronger form.
Granolah quickly became a fan-favorite villain in the series. While he started as an enemy, it was later discovered he had a deep and tragic history with the Saiyans, driving him to spend his life seeking revenge against them and Frieza. This quest ultimately brought him into conflict with Goku and Vegeta.
Granolah started his fight with Vegeta at a disadvantage, overwhelmed by the incredible strength of Vegeta’s Ultra Ego form. But as the battle went on, Granolah unlocked a second Red Eye, significantly boosting his power and letting him finally defeat Vegeta – though the finishing blow would have killed him too.
Gogeta’s Strength Combines That Of Both Goku And Vegeta
The Strongest Fusion
- The strength of two legends.
Gogeta is formed when Goku and Vegeta, the two most powerful Saiyans, fuse together. While he hasn’t appeared since his battle with Broly, most fans believe he’s still stronger than Ultra Ego Vegeta. This is because Gogeta’s power isn’t just the sum of Goku and Vegeta’s strengths—it’s a massively amplified combination of both.
Gogeta’s already incredibly strong in his normal form and as a Super Saiyan, but accessing God Ki to become Super Saiyan Blue makes him even more powerful. Many fans think this, combined with the fact that Ultra Ego isn’t fully mastered, puts Gogeta significantly ahead of Vegeta.
Black Frieza Made Very Short Work Of Vegeta’s Ultimate Form
The Galactic Tyrant
- The strongest mortal in the multiverse.
The Granolah arc really shook things up, completely changing how we understand power levels in the Dragon Ball universe. Vegeta’s new Ultra Ego transformation was a major highlight, finally giving him a Divine Form that matched Goku’s strength. But the biggest surprise of all came at the very end: the unexpected return of Frieza.
Frieza hadn’t appeared in the series for a long time, so his return generated a lot of excitement and speculation about what he’d been doing. He debuted a new form, Black Frieza, which made him significantly more powerful than Goku and Vegeta – powerful enough to defeat them both with just one hit, even while they were using their strongest forms, Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego.
Beerus Is The Strongest Being In All Of Universe 7
The God of Destruction
- The greatest Destroyer.
From the beginning, Beerus has always been a benchmark for the heroes, constantly raising the bar as they improve. Just when they think they’re getting close to his power, he demonstrates he’s far stronger, highlighting just how immense his true abilities are.
I’m absolutely fascinated by the dynamic between Beerus and Vegeta! It’s incredible how Beerus is kind of mentoring Vegeta, helping him unlock the full potential of Destruction Energy. But honestly, even with Vegeta’s amazing Ultra Ego form, the gap between their power levels is still HUGE. Beerus is just on a whole other plane of existence when it comes to mastering that energy!
